News on Anti-Cheat

I dont think they should release infos on how the anticheat works because the earlier hackers know the earlier hack clients will find a bypass.

2. Most hackers on cube don't even know this forum even exist

They should keep it secret for the most part as its their anti cheat and we shouldn't even know whether or not it has been released. If we don't know its been released the hackers don't either

You've got a point there. But if you know about the server really well, hackers can just do /about and find out what the anti-cheat is.

Guys, this isn't what this thread is about. Of course they will not say how their anti-cheat works before they even use it. They could still tell us how far they got making it and what it can do (not how it does it).

If I know how it works, it will only help me make my reports more accurate and make it easier for me to spot hackers.

well the plugin doesnt ban you. Most anti cheats are as sensitive as possible but not sensetive enough to detect normal pvp. The plugins sensitivity has to be adapted. I know this from experience on another server. But there the plugin was even more sensitive and it could autoban. The endresult of over-sensitive anticheat+autoban= a spammed appeal section

I think that every new project the developers start, they should announce it to hype us for it. Unless they just wanna drop it as a surprise of course..

Even if it's just "We're making progress", I would like that over being kept in the dark.

They should really inform us more about updates so we know what's new and what is to expect, but so far as I can see, The Anti-Cheat system isn't working that well, because I've seen many Hackers in a day and it didn't have any affect on them at all, except for some of their flies, but some of the have teleports and such they do which seems to not affect them at all.
