Yes, spending $10 on a cape that not even everyone can see is very worth it. My game play became so much more soothing when I got myself one of those, and it even solved my stupid romantic life. It's truly life changing.

Some stuff don’t need to have a function for them to be worth it. The optifine cape is a merely cosmetic and decorative item that literally no one else will care about except for yourself. So it’s easier to ask yourself wether you like how the cape looks.

That's true. Its more the experience of others. You also buy a phone, but you chose which one.
