no? never happened to meWell, I don't really know about skyblock but I don't think thats a bug, it happened to me in vanilla.
but when trying to grow stuff without water it like pops outThis is a vanilla feature. Hydrated farmland causes crops to grow faster than dry soil. I don’t know if there is any difference on cube due to their crop growth overhaul.
I can grow crops without any water and it will still grow
Is this a bug?
I grow my pumpkins without any water at all
but when trying to grow stuff without water it like pops out
That is an issue with light levels. Your seeds have access to the sky or have torch light nearby. I do believe having water within 4 blocks also solves this issue.I think that happens because you must have water nearby, the water has a range of 4 blocks and in those four blocks you can plant any seed and it will still grow :p

I personally do pumpkin/melon farms without water since it saves space. The only initial annoyance is planting due to the unhydrated land converting back to dirt. But once the seed is down, you are fine
