Java Plus entrance is annoying and pointless

What is the point of the game telling you when someone with plus comes into the lobby it's just annoying! why is the fact that a plus person has entered a lobby so important that it has to be shoved down my throat remove it!

If you have plus don't bother arguing that you paid a lot and you have to shove it down everyone else's throats or it won't be worth buying, we know, but we just don't like it!

maybe we can just get a toggle switch?

I personally do not like the join messsge. Just too annoying and, quite honestly, I don’t care to see others joining the lobby, or even seeing a message for myself. I would say either remove it, or make a toggle where you don’t see other people’s join message.

Yeah, the whole point about ranks is for the players that have it to stand out, the join messages are just another strategy to guarantee that aspect.
It isn’t that problematic anyways, it doesn’t cover much of your screen neither is it too frequent.
Complaining is just pointless I don’t think this will ever get removed.

Who are you to say that? What proof do you have to support that statement.
This suggestion never had a chance and much less now as it seems it’s just based on jealousy.

The join message isn't for other people, it's for the person. The appeal is seeing an announcement message just for them, I can safely say that many players love this announcement feature, some just want to be noticed. Yes its annoying but its not for you, its not there to let you know some random joined the lobby, it makes the player feel special, which isn't a bad thing.

Ridiculous The server shouldn't revolve around classes of who can pay the most, also I thought Obsidian was officially the last rank to come out, you're on thin ice already with plus.

Its taking steps in the wrong direction towards what hypixel is pulling. having things made intentionaly difficult for those who haven't paid for ranks, permissions, etc. Legit if you don't have a rank you cannot even use cosmetics, gadgets, or pets you unlock from chests without buying one.

The only thing I do when I see such a join message is saying "ieuw a plus"
Voilà, I don't care if a plus joins the lobby, I wouldn't be suprised if it's the same for others too

Because they don't know they joined a lobby themselves, makes sense

Why is that even needed?

I don't think this will be removed...
You can keep asking yourselves "why" a join announcement would make kids feel special, and how it actually isn't all that special...but the reality is that it does make them feel special, and this WILL intice people to buy the rank.
While at the same time not being rage-inducing to other players. Sure maybe some find it annoying, but you're not gonna quit the server cause of it.

Its a lot of plus for them without really much negative.

I prefer to keep my chat as clean of unnecessary things as possible so I can focus on all the other spam I receive :p
I’ll probably create a filter to automatically remove those messages from my chat.

It’s perfectly fine to have things to make others feel special, but that doesn’t have to come at the cost of forcing it on others. It’s a feature on another server which made me highly dislike just sitting in a lobby. Makes the chat messy and hard to carry out conversations and keep track of everything. This might be more of a me thing, but whenever I see a more colorful and prominent message, I think it’s somethint important that requires my attention, and just having it being a join message will train my mind to just tune out chat. I really don’t want to see a bunch of toggleable settings because that is also messy and annoying, but if there is going to be something like this which is constantly interrupting lobby chats, I feel like one would be quite appreciated.
