This gives an unfair advantage if someone dies and tells people playing where someone is located.

It is an unfair advantage, but blocking chat won't stop it. If the spectators cares enough, they could just message players. I would like the chat to be open so I can still carry on conversations with the dead, and you can also use the information they say since it is not directed at only one person. :)

Yes, definitely. This is an issue (if I'm correct called ghosting) that is really annoying in all of my games, and ruins the suspense part of the game.

I like to talk with the dead when I killed them and talk with the living while I'm dead.
Also they can just /msg /tell /fmsg etc or when they are in a skype/ts/discord/whateverthefudge just talk.

It won't stop the issue which is not really an issue anyway.

It can give yourself a nice adventage too, if you play a team game and one of your teammate dies, he can help you by telling where the others are. It is just something that one may like and some others don't. As said above, there will still be /msg, /fmsg, skype, discord, teamspeak etc. So blocking the chat won't solve the problem of players whom are ghosting.
