I am a very big fan of this idea! I've wanted this to come to the forums for a while. Members with plus rank used to be able to set backgrounds on their profiles, but the backgrounds were a limited selection of game lobbies. The idea of being able to upload your own custom images sounds really interesting, something completely worth looking into. It's a very creative idea that I'm sure would make the forums have a much more distinctive feel.
I feel like the perk should remain as a Plus rank featured as it used to be in the past. Just to make sure the rank keeps its value, and it'd be a cool update for all those loyal players who continue to pay the subscription in a monthly basis. However there's a flaw and that's Plus doesn't exist for Bedrock, so perhaps any ranked player in Bedrock could get access to it too.
A common complaint I see whenever these kinds of features are suggested is:
but people can make bad use of it and post inappropriate backgrounds! Yes, but like any other feature, with the proper moderation, the occasional rule breakers will be caught. And will otherwise get inevitably reported to the Staff Team at some point.
