My is crying obsidian cause it looks cool I think, and it matches good with my skin

My favourite is probably sea lanterns because it's one of the only blox in the game that is animated

Maybe smooth quartz, though other variants such as the quartz pillar are nice too; while smooth quartz isn’t the most interesting when placed on its own, it goes well with some other blocks, one being stone bricks (a classic favorite of mine)

Also polished tuff; with my latest survival house I was trying to figure out a good neutral color for the roof, and polished tuff was ultimately a great fit
It’s nice to have a new shade of gray that can be made into slabs and stairs that isn’t stone bricks or andesite, and it’s not too light or dark of a shade either
