As it currently is, many games are littered with bugs and unbalanced stuff that no one seems to care about fixing, why not divert your attention from adding new content in exciting new games to bugs and unbalance that has plagued other, less popular games forever, as well as actually implementing some previously "low priority" things that people have wanted for ages. This will bring players to actually play the other games on the server instead of just ignoring them because they are buggy and unbalanced.
What you can do:
Just make an update that only fixes bugs in all the games that need them
It is very hard spotting the causes of and fixing bugs in games and currently it seems like you do that along with an update for the games, but this isn't a smart idea, why?
1. You are neglecting games for sometimes over a year at a time and people will not keep hope in or even care about games that they know have bugs that will not be fixed for a year+
2. Leaving bugs in games makes you seem unprofessional and will give people a negative opinion of you.
3. If one of your games is buggy, people will assume that the rest of your games are buggy, or that the whole server is buggy and will not play them at all.
What I'm talking about here are games like UHC and others that have bugs that aren't necessarily game breaking but are annoying enough for people to get pissed off about being there. e.g. Blockwars leaderboard just being broken ( yes people have reported it, don't say that )
Make sure your games are balanced more importantly than having cool new stuff
Servers like BadLion lived their life with nearly no updates whatsoever, why did players still go on it, it was balanced, it didn't have cool new content every week that got dry fast but it was balanced. Ignore that it's closing down, that was for other reasons. An update will hype up the community for a few weeks but it doesn't mean people will play it when the hype dies out and its still unbalanced while the update hasn't changed the core gameplay that players were already bored of.
Instead focus on stuff like this:
1. Give every kit in a game a purpose, something that is more useful for than anything else, e.g. Medic kit in Blockwars would be super useful for regenerating between fights, but it isn't because it's hard to survive the fights when the armour is super weak. If kits don't have something they are best for, there is no reason for people to pick them and they will effectively become useless and gameplay will continue to revolve around a single or small selection of kits when there are many of them that just have no purpose.
2. Don't be totally afraid to mess around with the balancing in games after an update
I've heard many times before, after an update to a game, you changed things up but it's still unbalanced and the stock response is that "we will fix it in the next update", so players have to wait a year or so to wait for your attempt at balancing that doesn't always work. Look at the community response and adjust accordingly instead of ignoring it until the next update.
Work on quality of life suggestions or heavily wanted things that might take a bit of work
What I mean by this are things like expanding statistics usage in ways such as finally adding a statistics page ( or giving someone else the stats so they can do it themselves ) or finally doing the toggleable leaderboard or other good ways of comparing stats, which has always had the response that "it's more work than it's worth", which is really not true because more chances to get on leaderboards gives people more goals to work towards and more motivation to actually play on the server. Overall the server does definitely need a competitive update with stuff like ELO and rankings too.
Other quality of life suggestions like changing a map a bit or adding some small feature that can't be done in the click of a button really need to be looked at more than they are and it could really help.
Everyone in the replies, could you post the most annoying bugs or unbalanced stuff in games that are the most annoying or important to you
