Actually, when I come back to this thread, I can tell that this may ruin the whole blockwars game and the whole goal of the game
The whole goal of the game is to capture the flag, or to destroy the enemy core; essentially to infiltrate the enemy's defenses. Removing the building phase and increasing the pace of block-breaking and block-replacing would result in a more dynamic base defense system that requires tons of continuous effort, instead of a stalemate-prone static game of "hit the guys away from the giant blob of blocks around your base".
