So if I report someone on the website for spamming/hacking most of the time they are closed because they are already handled. But I think they still should be handled. it's impossible to get handled reports when someone is just a second faster then you.

I hope they will do something with this because all of my reports are getting closed because of this ^^

I agree that if a hacker has already been banned by Sentinel and someone also made a report for that person, the report should be handled because they have received more evidence. However, getting ‘handled’ on your report even though a staff member has already punished the rule breaker, doesn’t seem like a good idea. People in a party may all report the rule breaker, which results in all of them getting that handled report. That doesn’t sound fair to be honest. In my opinion, the point of reporting is to get rid of rule breakers on the server, not to get a certain amount of handled reports.

I am not so sure because reports are to help the server and if you see your report closed due to the player already punished, you have to be happy because he can't join the server anymore!

But actually everyone is farming reports, so this may be helpful yea

But if you are trying to be a helper you really need reports and its very hard to get em rn

Hi,

I understand the frustration of getting reports closed because the player already got punished. I agree on what @Limoen said. If Sentinel already banned the player then your report should get handled because the player's punishment might be extended (forums report only). If the player already got punished because of an other report then yours should get closed. The report might be fair and right but it was not your report that got the player punished.

You said ''spamming/hacking''. -> For hacking I always use /report in-game because the report will (almost) always get accepted. Unless they couldn't verify it, if the player was innocent or if the report ''expired''.

The purpose of reporting someone is to make sure the person you reported is getting a appropriate punishment and that's where the whole report site was made for.

Getting helper isn't only about the amount of handled reports.

So a no for me

I'm not just talking about that, People are trying to help the server out and they want to show that.

I actually like this idea and I don't like it at the same time. They could perhaps implement something like partially accepted reports which has been suggested a couple of weeks ago, this means that the rulebreaker has already been punished by the sentinel/staff but that your report was correct.

Some people might be demotivated when they see the "Closed" tag, even though their report was correct. They probably assume that there is no point in making a report, because the rulebreaker gets punished before they look at the report sometimes. Therefore, partially accepted reports would be good because it still gives you a feeling that you were correct. Another advantage of partially accepted reports would be to extend a sentinel ban. Some hackers that you have reported are sometimes already banned by the sentinel before your report is reviewed. This means that the hacker will be banned from 7 days instead of 30 days.

I don’t have a problem with seeing the closed tab on my reports. Since there is no longer a minimum requirement on the reports you should have nothing to worry about. A closed report isn’t a lost one if it has compelling evidence and ultimately will never negatively affect your chances of becoming helper.

EDIT: Pressed submit too quickly - Speaking as a normal player here with some closed reports myself, you shouldn't be discouraged. Even if all your reports gets denied because someone already beat ya to the punch, I don't think it will define you as a great asset to the staff team.

As some users previously said, the amount of reports isn't essential. The recruitment team look onto your report quality, not quantity. If you've made idk about 10 reports (for example) in one day, and 7 got denied because they've been already banned, it doesn't matter, it almost count, it's just that, they can't handle it because they can't ban a player twice.

The reports aren't all, apart it there's forums activity, game activity...

I think there isn't any problem with that. If you report you secure the deserved punishment for a user + If you think handled reports are the only thing that is considered in the Helper Application you are wrong.

You're reporting someone, so the hacker doesn't come back. A green text with "handled" is only a sideshow.

Also a handled report only counts when the rulebreaker is punished because of your report and not an other report.

But I think they still should be handled.
Just would like to note something. I cannot say a lot, though I can say is that if we accept a report it automatically punishes the player. There is no way for us to accept a report and not punish someone. Would like to note this so y’all know it requires some web development to implement this.
