Now the amount of /report threads is a little much considering it has been suggested many many times, again and again, even though this has already been a thing and has been removed for a good reason.
I am sorry in advance for my indenting, I have OCD, literally.
Now for you new players, the /report command doesn't always work in some ways or situations for the staff. If you look in the in-game chat while you are playing, you can see the amount of possible "false hacks" where people get annoyed or as people now call "salty" when they die, they would just call them a "hacker". So if they are indeed annoyed then if this was a thing, then the amount of false reports for the cubecraft staff team would start to waste their time when they could be helping players who really do need help.
Now things such as inappropriate skins, usernames, griefing, trolling, advertising, spamming, swearing, impersonations, death threats, and camping would be pretty obvious. But things like hacks, teaming, bullying, scamming, exploiting and the rest (I don't know the rest) would be not so obvious being the list below.
Inappropriate Skin: Would be hard to get annoyed about that. Its something you can see right there, not something you can possibly see or something like lag.
Usernames: Pretty much the players in-game name. So it would be very easy to screenshot it or do /report AFreakingCookie Reason: Inappropriate Username
Griefing: Well... how would you grief? Never understood this one. lol
Trolling: Such as trying to get a reaction out of players like camping the generators the entire game, breaking the blocks around the egg when a player is trying to block it, breaking blocks under you or breaking blocks behind you while you are building or even after you're building.
Advertising: Just putting a ip in such as
"Join ------> play.cubelag.net<------ STAFF NEEDED!! Eggwars, Pvp, AND MORE!!"
(Just some advertising on a big server to get more players on their server, but you get the idea)
Spamming: Spamming could have advertisements, spamming youtube channels, spamming streams, or just putting something in chat, over and over and over again. This can also include swearing.
Swearing: Just putting swear words in the chat such as... and if you really want to know what the swear words are, you can look them up if you would like. NEVER EVER EVER SAY THE "N" WORD ON A SERVER that is practically the worst.
Impersonations: Saying that you're the owner of cubecraft like "I am rubik_cube_man and i can ban you if I wanted too" or "Hey guys its me, (youtubers name) and welcome back to another video" now the youtuber one I think only implies to popular youtubers such as petezahutt or bajancanadian.
Death Threats: Now this is like "Go kill yourself" or "Go die in a hole" or anything that has a player saying that you should harm yourself in anyway, that would be considered a possible Death Threat. Also a "I know your address and I will come rape/kill you" is one.
Honestly, if you think it is a Death threat, press f2 and send it to the staff! :D
Camping: Now I know, "If someone stays at their base its camping right" No, only camping in some games is against the rules. Such as eggwars, where you pillar up high and you stay there and knock people off making it a long game.
Hacking: Could be ping, skill, or just general annoyed players. Therefore creating false /reports
Teaming: In my opinion, teaming consists of constant eye-contact of the teamed player in solo matches. Example, if a player doesn't look at another player, but the other one does and doesn't attack, then that is considered teaming. But if neither are making contact, that isn't considered Teaming.
Bullying: Now there is a difference between teasing and bullying. Now I have had people harass me about my votes in eggwars, and that is considered bullying because of how often it happens. But things like saying "you suck" or general calling names isn't considered bullying, Unless it happens from that player over and over to about 3 or over 3 times.
Scamming: Some people just think a certain player is going to scam. Now if you record the player scamming, then that is good and that player can get punished. But in games like Eggwars, lucky islands, skywars, etc. where you are against other people, that doesn't count. That us is just a player versus player best man/women wins not a prison server. Although I don't really think scamming is a thing on here, but it can happen on Tower Defense, I just don't see reason on scamming. But it is obvious. If you are about to go to a place where you think you will get scammed, record it. To sum it up, you can't really scam on cubecraft.
Exploiting: What if the thing someone is so called exploiting is a easter egg or a part of the game that isn't a bug? One time, I did the tower defense elytra thing, and someone called me out for exploiting and saying I was going to get banned. So I don't normally see people exploiting anything, but it would just generate false /reports on legit players that aren't exploiting anything.
So maybe no more /report threads?
Now people would get confused or just general annoyed and another player while in game, but if the /report command were here, it would be way to many false reports for the staff to handle.
I hope this helps out the staff out and I hope it helps out the players by letting the players understand that the /report command shouldn't be a thing and the cubecraft report system, in my opinion, is the simplest report system that they can make.
Best Regards,
-Hank
