Hey, I was just thinking... (don't expect this to be a fully developed idea) What if players could get awarded for reporting players in points.

How it will work:

Players get points for successfully reporting players

  • Players can be awarded up to 10 points based on the 'severity' of the report, the amount given is up to the judgment of the staff member dealing with the report. Severity does not just include the type of report but say if there is a hacker using Killaura, that may not be awarded as much as a hacker who found a bypass to fly, or extra points could also be awarded for spotting the more subtle things.
  • The points can be used to redeem gift vouchers, a fair amount would be 1000 points = 1 US dollar (200-500 reports on average) these gift vouchers can be used to buy ranks and other items in the store. (or possibly report exclusive ranks)
Why is this good?

  • It awards players who put in hard work for the server and allows them to be recognized for their efforts to help the server and other people.
  • It gives players more of a motive to report, I personally know that my upload speed is so bad 1 min of video can take 20 mins to upload making my internet almost completely seize up and impossible to report efficiently. But with this system it can give players a reason report quicker, I know this sounds selfish but honestly, everyone knows that people are more willing to do something if there is a prize behind it.
Conclusion:

Whether or not this is added me and many other players will still report suspicious or illegal activities, but I think this is an amazing way to reward the players who WANT to help, not just the players who have the money.

Thanks for reading this suggestion and I honestly do hope this is added in the future.

Tbh, I don't really think this should be added. I mean, good idea, but reporting is more to help the server than to get a reward. The server would get about fifty reports each day because people want points. It would also probably increase the amount of fake reports. So,sorry, it's a no from me

People should report people because they wan't to make this server more hacker free; not because they know that there'll be a report if they carry on long enough.

It's a well-elaborated on decent suggestion. But people report as a reason to help out the server and not receive a little praise/ reward from the staff members who have replied to it.
Maybe this could happen only once, like a certain amount of reports accepted will get you a thank you letter from a senior staff member. Maybe.
Overall I disagree with this one.

I'd rather not have 10000000 more false reports made by players who are just reporting for points.

They get punished for false reports though :P No need for rewards for reports though, although it may encourage more people to help keep the server clean

I'm highly against this!

You shouldn't be rewarded for your reports, you report rule breakers because you want to help the community to make CubeCraft a hacker-less server. You mustn't be rewarded for that.

ikr lol

anyways it would be bad cus of all the false reports and players dont always report what they see so if they want to help the server and report they can

Cube rather has people reporting out of their own will than doing it for points (that's what i've heard).

No totally not pls, if you make reports is it for helping the community not for a reward!! i totally disagree with this sorry man.
Same as jona, I report people to clear the server and have a nice gameplay in cubecraft games, I totally disagree sorry there shouldn't be any reward you are reporting people to help the server, not to get a bonus for it

Rewarding players for reporting players on their server is not against EULA.

Anyway I dont mind there being a reward for reports but I would like to see a unique vanity item instead of points :P

Guys this would honestly overwhelm the moderators and other staff. If we keep it how it is people are motivated to report for the greater good of the server, not the greater good of the player's point balance.

P.s: If you want points try winning games....
