If you say what I think you're trying to say, that it costs 5$ per hour to host the server, that will still be a lot of money. Personally I don't think they pay (for example) 5$ per hour, but rather a monthly fee (if they host the server themselves, they still need to pay for internet and electricity). And they need to make some profit too ;)

I think ranks are a good way to keep the server running. The main features are still free, but it has enough features to get people to buy them.

I don't think it will end in 3 years, but I think it will die sooner or later. My guess would be around 4-5 years. It's sad, but true...

Yeah, they just have to make one mistake with an update and they ruin it, right now it does seem that people are less interested in the game, me being one of them, as there are better games that are gaining popularity, mainly Dota2, Csgo, LoL, etc.
Also it's not like the owners will be homeless after the game dies xD. They are pretty good with working with servers, coding etc so I'm sure they will find a job lool. So no Rip Owners=)
