Samsung or Apple?

Asking a question like this never brings good results XD there will always be people who say Apple no matter what and the same for Samsung. It really depends on Price range and what you want for your phone. If you want a phone that will run apps at the optimum and watch HD videos well, iphones are probably for you. But if you're more technical with your phone i.e using the files or wanting better specs or 128gb of extra storage then probably android. Android is also a lot more open source so if you like to have a very custom experience it's probably for you. But it's not as user friendly as an iphone. Also you can get a pretty cheap samsung android phone but Iphones are generally at a fixed price everywhere. So in the end it really is just down to what you want

Depends on the needs of a user.

If you're looking for a user friendly, easy to use, feature rich phone, that just works (unlike Android alternatives.), go with iPhone.

If you're looking to hook up a radar to your phone or use it to hack into wireless networks on airplanes, then go with an Android system.

In most use cases iPhones have the advantage over Android in both UX and UI, and especially in features.

Most android users will say android is better because you can root it, but is it really necessary for you to have a custom lock screen that has a gif of a meowing cat as the background? Really? Also, ignoring the fact that rooting pretty much finalises the destruction of all android defences against malware and various other attack vectors that android is already on its own vulnerable to. (Attacks that are not effective on iPhones. - If you want proof, just google, you'll find plenty.)

Up to you, really. Just keep in mind the advantages and disadvantages of both systems.
