Skyblock - A Suggestions Thread

Hello there 👋

So here's a large thread on a large variety of suggestions on Skyblock that I agree on, some of these I have addressed in previous posts but I would like to bring them back up in hopes that they would have a better chance of being seen with the new changes to suggestions

I will have a poll up for people to vote on what they agree on, and feel free to leave a suggestion or your opinions on this 😄

Game Statistics (Bedrock)
Bedrock Skyblock currently does not have a statistics tab, however Skyblock Java does contain one. I believe that the Bedrock version should receive the statistics of:
  • Mobs killed
  • Deaths
  • Arrows Shot
  • Arrows hit
  • Blocks Placed
  • Blocks Broken
  • Blocks Walked
  • Overall Play Time (This means the combined time of all profiles)

Skyblock Should Reward CubeCraft XP
So many people prefer to play Skyblock instead of other games on CubeCraft. But those players receive no XP on CubeCraft after hours of work, whereas someone who plays skywars can easily rack up 500-1000 XP in around an hour. I think that:

-CubeCraft XP should be rewarded for each island unlocked
-This would add more dedication to the game and an urge to unlock the next island
-Every island would grant more XP than the previous
-For every day of play time, a decent amount of XP should be rewarded
-Not too large, so people do not AFK for the sole purpose of gaining xp ^^^
-A large amount of XP for completing every main quest in a dimension (Violent Ends, and Nethermancer, **FINAL END QUEST**)
-
If possible, players would be rewarded for their play time + islands they have already unlocked

Daily Quests
I think that Skyblock should offer daily quests, this would provide a challenge to players who have completed a majority of the game, and also add the potential for a leaderboard of most daily challenges completed. I suggest

-There would be a total of 3 quests every 24 hour
-The daily quests could be accessed from the adventurer in the Skyblock hub, since it doesn't have a large purpose currently
-The first daily quest would be easy and could be unlocked when reaching the Jungle
-The second daily quest would be semi-difficult and could be unlocked when reaching the Savannah
-The third daily quest would be hard and could be unlocked when reaching the Swamp
-Daily Quests completed would be tracked and used as the Skyblock leaderboard


Smaller Suggestions
1. Visiting islands: This is widely requested by the community and being able to visit other players islands as a spectator would be an awesome addition

2. Teleport to Spawn: This would be a feature where (from the Skyblock Shops only), the player could teleport to their island spawn, or wherever they have their spawn set

3. PvP Arena: This would be a PvP area (In the style of FFA) with no loss and no reward, this means that there would be no loss/gain of coins, XP, or durability.

4. Deleting Solo Profiles: Many people may find themselves wanting to have a fresh start on a solo and I believe a Solo restart option would be a good idea

5. Changing Solo --> Coop: Another largely asked for feature for players to transition their profiles from solo to coop

6. Selling Arrows: Currently arrows are not sellable, and arrows don't have use other than bows which don't require thousands of arrows

7. Access to Decoration Items: Decoration items such as Lily Pads, Cobwebs, Andesite, Granite, and Diorite are limited and should be purchasable from the shop after reaching the Swamp island

95% of these ideas are welcome editions. But when was the last time any gam got a huge content update. like I get it cubecraft is focusing on quality of life and UI updates but like c‘mom where the new content at lol

Absolutely love the new ideas. Most of these have already been suggested, but this was always in combination with unrealistic propositions.
This thread however is different, you kept it simple, only including items that are highly asked for.
All together a great thread! Good job!

alright lets look at everything here,
1. stats would be fun for sure! people could show off their millions of mob kills to level up their gear x3
2. xp would be fair to gain for playing hours upon hours on the server, the ways to get xp you mentioned sound fair to me
3. daily quests would make the game more interesting for sure, it might also help when you're stuck with these endless quests.
4. so... i think teleporting to islands would be great, but you should not be able to trade items in any way or use others their xp farm (cuz boosting)
5. easy and quick tp to island spawn could be nice when setting up your storage there.
6. i know a lot of people would love pvp, so i think it would be a fun add to the server. maybe with a duel system so people cant camp the spawn the whole time, like in many other servers.
7. why isnt this a thing already?! resetting your island would be great!
8. mixed feelings about this one honestly, im not sure how the island slots work on bedrock, but since you need a rank to unlock more in java i'd say it might work kinda weird.
9. yes please. why would people need this many arrows? especially when having infinity!
10. there are some great builders out here for sure, a decoration shop together with visiting islands would be amazing!

i agree for sure with most of your suggestions! :) great ideas and i think a lot of people would love to see this

PvP arena: This is supposed to be a feature that is past your quests. Once finished the game becomes without a purpose. You could enchant tools more and more, but there is no way of showing them off. No reason to keep enchanting, no reason for protection on armor etc. At the moment there isn't even a reason to farm gold or brew potios, which wouldn't be the case if pvp gets added.
Sellable arrows: When you have a dropper of any kind set up with skeletons, your chests will start filling up with useless arrows. This makes it so you barely see any skeletons in droppers (even in droppers where you throw in whatever spawner you have). I am assuming it is not sellable since i can see it becoming quite annoying for when you use a bow daily. But this is only a small percentage off the people, i believe over 95% of people would agree arrows should be sellable.
Decorative items: You're quite familiar with everything going on in Cubecraft so i am assuming you know the building/selfie contests as well. Once halloween was around the corner there was a selfie contest, take a selfie within the network and post it. My idea was to transform my whole build and making it spooky. Adding huge spiderwebs as in the hub was one of the idea's. Sadly this wasn't possible due to the lack of them, there are already special items in the game such as head trophies etc, and I don't believe spider webs and packed ice should be one of those. (This is one of many examples)

I do however agree with your new suggestion, on java there are barely any players to be seen in the skyblock hub. This would be nice to reduce the amount of lobbies so you can have fun conversations with people. On bedrock this doesn't seem to be the issue.

Good effort keeping the game alive but don't think it will be very effective for these reasons:
- the players who have actually completed the whole game are a rather small group and to get multiple people who have completed all quests at the same time, willing to pvp is not worth making it a feature.
- Some people will just be very OP, it will become a time game. Whoever grinds the most for max armor and weapons will dominate the fights

I feel like the word PvP arena is giving a wrong impression of what I am suggestion. Asriel actually went deeper into this, it would be more a 'duel' kind of thing. I wouldn't even mind if it were maps that already exist whitin the current duel gamemode. But this does however make it so you can see how your armor performs against swords, have you ever tried a fight with protection 20 armor or thrones? These battles wont be competitive but rather fun. Even for people who haven't completed the game it would still be fun. I made this pointer to basically say that there is not really that much to do except doing quests.
And for the time game, skyblock is a time game in general. And as you previously said, there is a rather small group who has good armor so i dont see many people 'dominate' the fights the opponent has agreed with.

PvP Arena: I do see where you are coming from, but the main idea I was thinking of with this is being able to mess around with items you wouldn't normally have in traditional duels, hence why it would be a no gain/ no loss scenario

Arrows: Towards the end game arrows become redundant and most people just throw them off the edge after getting thousands from skeleton farms, I personally feel that we might as well get some money from them :L

Decoration Items: As Xavi mentioned, we have other things that make more sense to be limited, and the items I listed I don't think should be some of those. On top of that, many people will use up all the string they get for the wool crafting challenge on the Jungle island (I forgot the name of the quest), without knowing that it is limited

Lobbies: I'm not sure how the lobby situation is on Java so I can't comment on this but as far as Bedrock goes, it doesn't seem to have that issues, but if it does seem to be a large issue I can add it to the list and poll

To me, I think that deleting solo profile shouldn't be a thing because if you aren't paying attention and your trying to delete coop profile (in this case your friends don't play skyblock and your at island 3, and in your solo you have island 9,) you could accidentally delete the wrong profile.

The top 3 things I absolutely agree with, is 1. Selling arrows. I personally play alot and my skeleton farm is pretty big so its a pretty big problem. 2. Visiting islands. I think that it would be cool to visit islands just to help people and chat with friends. (Without having to join a coop.) And for 3. Pvp arenas. Whats so special about a diamond sword if you can't use it as often? Pvp. I think that would also be a great addition. Thanks for reading.

To me, I think that deleting solo profile shouldn't be a thing because if you aren't paying attention and your trying to delete coop profile (in this case your friends don't play skyblock and your at island 3, and in your solo you have island 9,) you could accidentally delete the wrong profile.
can be prevented by making it so you have a command or something that you need to type with text "are you sure you want to delete your SOLO profile?"to confirm you're okey with it

Another suggestion could be to balance the boosting amounts/times. They don’t seem to have any equation behind them, this is why it is fairly hard to boost a dark oak for its full length of time. While a diamond gerator is trather easy to boost.

u could do where bonemeal takes 15% of the time when used besides what versions does ps4 take in pocket edition
if bone meal was to get rid of 15% of the time it would be absolutely broken, I could do all the dark oak quests in less than a day due to how much bones I had from exp grinding nether 1 and 2. If it was to be useable maybe make it a set time at a low reduce (e.g half a min) cuz me personally I have accumulated well over 10 double chests of bones, and more then 10 fold of that has despawned (why I like arrows being sold) so bone meal would still be tedious to use to grow something, however it would give us a bit of a boost if we are actively bonemealing it.
