I'm kinda bored right now so I thought up some changes that could be made to make Egg Wars a bit more enjoyable.

Suggestion 1: Nerf the armour in the game or add stronger weapons.

OK, the thing that I hate in op the most is the fact that you can't really die unless if you knock the guy into the void.
All I'm suggesting is to make the armour into like protection 3 or give better sharpness to weapons. This would shorten fights but still would allow some sort of long fight (depending on the gear) so that it's not always the ones with the better gear that wins.

Suggestion 2: KB sword (READ CAREFULLY)

Before you say no to this read this first!!

What I'm suggesting is to possibly add a KB-1 WOODEN sword (that has no other enchants) for possibly 15-25 diamonds. Because the KB is on a sword, you still need to time it to get some of the KB effect to work. Also, it basically cannot do any damage (since it doesn't have sharpness). The other nice thing about this is that it has pretty low durability, so it won't last as long.

Suggestion 3: Potions

These are probably meant for late game and/or quicker fights. The potions that I'm suggestings is Haste 1 and Strength 1 splash potions. The haste and strength should both cost about 10-20 diamonds. These potions only create an extra advantage to the person affected to make fights last a tad shorter. Since it's a splash potion, it has a chance to affect enemies as well as allies and also last for a very short amount of time.

Suggestion 4: Nerf the bows!

The punch bow is really overpowered and it is the item that causes the most camping. I think that the punch bow's price should be raised from 15 to possibly 20-40 and the power bow should be decreased from 40 to 10-20 diamonds since the power bows aren't as effective in OP mode. That way, there would be a chance to take out a team that has started to camp without having to get an ender pearl or...

Suggestion 5: Buff the Shields!!

If CCG could possibly add more durability to shields or make it cheaper from 10 to 5 diamonds, it may help to fight against many campers without having to waste much time getting an ender pearl. This is a suggestion that I think should happen to both normal and op (I don't know about hardcore). It would help reduce the amount of campers and possibly allow the players to think that the shield is worth it to get.

Suggestion 6: Better pickaxes

I don't know if this is much of an issue, but it would be sorta nice to have like an efficiency 10 or 12 pick for the price of 64 diamonds. It would be a nice addition to the game and help it to go quicker but I don't really see that much of a difference but it may help with the crazy obsidian with the eggs.

I don't know if any of the suggestions are appealing so tell me what you think! :D

There should also be some changes to discourage camping, like , adding OP strength pots or better pickaxes after 30 minutes have passed, or decreasing the price of enderpearls so more people will start rushing.
Other than that, I think your suggestions are ok.:)

No. Imagine this on the 1.8 servers? And besides, I don't think the armor in OP is the issue since you can still kill people with damage up to iron, and shoot people in diamond off

Here's another touchy subject.
I personally don't like having eggwars be a minigame based on potions and armor itself, but that doesn't count as an argument.
Potions don't really "fit" in eggwars as is right now, because I'm sure everyone knows how annoying slowness arrows are.
The only effects you can get in eggwars through kits and shop is:
Jumpboost
Weakness
Slowness
Regeneration
Absorption
Resistance
Fire resistance
Glowing

All of these but slowness are passive debuffs/buffs as they don't do anything with your movement.
I doubt that people love having slowness in the first place, But effects like strength and haste is a bit too much.
Haste itself only works with miningspeed

We've had a post about this for NORMAL MODE and it was 50/50. So I don't think that this is going to happen to OP since it won't happen in normal.

Buffing the shields isn't necessary. The shields already cost as little as 10 diamond which is half a minute on the diamond gen & they don't break that fast.
The shield price in OP is fine as it is.

This really isn't necessary either as an efficiency 8 can mine through obsidian in under a second per block. Higher than this is just overkill

Um brb this is to shorten fights. Plus it takes really long even in 1.8 pvp. We need a different pvp strategy than bowspam. That's the reason why I hate op and that's because it takes forever for fights especially on large maps

I like all the suggestions except for the third one.
First One: Yes. Armour is way too OP and having it nerfed will be so helpful and adding more powerful weapons. The current only way to win is by knocking someone off, breaking their armour, or being a PvP god who criticals and strafes every hit. Either make every weapon sharpness 6 or make the armour protection 3.
Second One: If knock back is going to be the only way to kill people, a knockback sword, wooden or stone, costing diamonds is perfect. It makes it so that it isn't extremely cheap and sword knockback should be, compared to the punch bow, lesser.
Third One: This one I don't agree with. I don't think potions will have an effect on the fight in OP. Slowness arrows are already good enough. The kit with potions you can get are pretty much useless in OP because none of the players are damaging one another. The only potion that may be useful is the swiftness potion.
Fourth One: Nerf the bows. I have heard this so many times in the past and my opinion on them recently changed. I don't think I need to explain why, they need to be nerfed.
Fifth One: Shield buffing was also suggested yesterday and got quite a bit of support. Since you still take knockback with a shield, that needs to be fixed. The durability is very less and just a few bow spams can get it broken and one or two axe criticals along with it. So they need some buffing.
Sixth One: I understand why you want to see better pickaxes. It's because people just spam click when you try to break the egg, to the point where you do need something that almost instantly breaks. I would support this idea for the very reason that even efficiency 8 has failed in the past to get past 3-4 layers because of the punching. Obviously you could block yourself in but that is hard on a few maps, especially tropical.

I'm sorry, but I'm so done with people saying that a knockback sword is too op, (btw, in skywars you can still make knockback swords)
I mean, in eggwars, you can just easily build a bridge, up to the sky to avoid the knockback sword, with a punchbow you can't do this and you'll automatically get punched off...
A punchbow requires almost no skill (only on far distances, but that requires a lot of luck, too) And knockback 1 isn't a big issue (only in 1,8, but please, there's 1,11...) If 1.8 players really disagree about it, just don't add it to 1.8...
And yeah, i enjoy shooting people off with a punch bow, too. However, I dislike getting shot off, way more! (And i think most of you do) Maybe, since a bow is already very luck based, it should be 50% chance on punch, so bowspamming won't work good enough as it does now! @Nobody. Any further opinions?

If the last one is added, there's really no point to late game obsidian. If someone pearls to your island with an Eff 12, all that obby will be gone in seconds.

It's extremely rare for someone to carry an axe in overpowered mode. Use chests and hay.

I think a gold sword might be better, but I've made knockback two diamond swords in skywars BASIC.

I honestly would like a poison potion in OP mode. And before you say, "That takes away the whole point of OP!" stop.
1. It discourages camping as a poison potion works very well.
2. Poison potions ignore armor, so it does the same damage to a leather as a diamond.

I like all of them, but the third one.(I really don't like knockback items). I would really like it if OP became OP within reason rather than what it is now.(since most people use the argument 'it's OP for a reason) I don't even understand why people would not like a nerf to OPs armor, I mean just look at the OP kitpvp.

-Fights last longer
-If you need to you can still break armor
-It still allows you to show pvp skills(which may be why some people do not like it)
-Unlike eggwars OP fights have a low chance of lasting forever(except for chases, but eggwars has hunger depletion)
-The Power bow on the archer is pretty balanced, deadly from range but bad close up
-Even the god gear is decently balanced since if the person is bad and wearing that armor someone more skilled can come along and kill them


Also something I noticed about OP is that if there's a hacker playing you virtually cannot kill them since they don't take damage and its a fight on who gives the most hits. If there's a hacker in OP hope that he doesn't have anti-knockback, else you are screwed. BTW before someone says "I don't like this change 1.8 doesn't need it" I am talking about 1.9.

In OP it's the easiest to beat a hacker. Just get a power 5 bow and destroy its armor with it. And if he has leather while you have iron, it's also a pretty easy win.

In normal, a regular power bow works even better. And hardcore hackers sometimes are easier to kill then good players. OP it's extremely difficult as hackers take like no fall damage.
