Simple Idea: Players can use /spectate to go in spectator mode in FFA gamemodes.
Why? Because it makes it a lot easier to record hackers without being killed by them all the time, and it's not that hard to implement.

EDIT: Access to command should only be available when out of combat/via sign in the lobby, to prevent abuse, as Triqreh and POWER_RANGER suggested

Helpers+ can spectate in FFA gamemodes.

This has been suggested many times before
I know, but it's being overlooked too much, so I decided to take my go for it, since I haven't suggested it before.
I'm not sure if it is in the works can any1 confirm?
I don't think so, if it were I wouldn't create this thread.
Helpers+ can spectate in FFA gamemodes.
I don't think some help would be that bad right?

Explain.

The people would abuse the command to no get killed. It would be a good idea if you only could use in the respawn.

Ok the way to enter spectate would be a sign or armor stand located in the kit selection lobby and shop lobby for assassins. I doubt they would let you do /spectate really quick.

"My stance is that there is a maximum amount of players per game, when spectating you aren't going to be playing and are taking the spot of someone willing to play the game. Saying the name of the hacker out loud helps us staff locate the hacker. Staff is very present in assassinations as opposed to other gamemodes. Hackers seem to like assassinations more than the other gamemodes as they are continuously rewarded with better gear for killing people. Staff are not always seen as we often hide from the players so the hackers don't turn their hacks off as soon as they notice a mod is on, if you see a mod is on /tell him names of hackers but don't mention his name out loud in main chat unless his presence has already been "compromised" if I can say it like that." ~Lezappen

"I could see some players abusing /spectate to get out of losing their items. Granted, they could code it to only be done when out of combat and away from players. Though, I still don't like the idea of letting players that aren't staff (staff = helper+) have access to such a command." ~Snodia

There are plenty of spots in FFA games, even when a game is full there is always another one open. Players willing to play a game will get their game. Also, while spectating you are recording hackers which greatly helps the server.
Saying the name of the hacker out loud helps us staff locate the hacker
Unless they immediately leave the game if they know that they are being watched by helpers, which would be logical to do.
Staff is very present in assassinations as opposed to other gamemodes.
Even so, I see a lot of hackers, especially in assassinations. Helpers can't be in every assassination server 24/7, that's why I suggested this in the first place. TO make it easier for players to report hackers which will only help the server

It would be nice and a lot easier. But you can cheat like that to go tho the 'secret' places.

Uh? Very present would mean not so many hackers. I was 5m online and saw 2 speedhackers, 1 flyhacker, 6 killaurahackers. If staff would be very present, I probably wouldn't have seen so many hackers ;).

Oh and about the thread, please before you're making a thread, search if someone made it already. This is the 10th thread about the same subject in the past 2 weeks.

The Netherlands.
They're going to use it on the wrong way, so it will ruin the game. :(

A tip: If you see an Helper+ online on the forums ask him to come to the map where the hacker is and they will get reported/banned, but please don't spam the Helpers+ with it to look at it, they are all busy if they don't react. :)

I understand your point, but I think spectating would look more like Mineplex + you don't want to die to report a hacker but if you spectate them, you lose the same amount of time and you also don't get the win. Spectating would have no sense because it is already in the game, the only way is to die. But I think if you are a hacker hunter, it's worth it! :D

It makes it much easier to collect evidence when you have spectator as you can instantly teleport to the hacker and use their point of view to stay with them.

You're right! But if you join a game and kill yourself instantly it is the same, but I understand you're point. It is a little bit dumb to join a game a kill yourself afterwards. Maybe this feature will be added in the future.

You're right, but you don't know in wich game you can find a hacker. If you join a game and you wait the wholr game to collect evidence.
You'll never know in wich game you can find a hacker. So it's not the best way to spot hackers. The best way to collect evidence is just by playing games and when you come across a hacker, you simply record him and report him. Sorry if my reply is a little bit rude. But that's how I think about it.

Okay, so after reading all of these comments I came to my conclusion that this /spectate command is probably not going to be added because:
-Helpers are apparently 27/4 in every FFA game ever and can spectate all players at the exact same time, so there is no need for it.
-The server would look more like mineplex.
-It has been suggested before.
-Getting killed 10x to record a hacker is apparently just as easy and takes the same time as spectating the hacker for gathering evidence.
-People would abuse it because they would know the map better and find all easter eggs and "secret places" easier.
-There isn't enough room for players that want to spectate, but there is enough room for players that want to play, even though the FFA servers are almost never full.

Am I considered weird for losing faith in some people of this forum right now?
