@FluffyRoses and someone else not on the forums brought me to this suggestion.

Everyone knows that YouTube ranks gets /nick, but I think mods should have something similar that hides their [Mod] rank and also disguises their name. (see screenshot)

That gave me the idea for a similar thing to /nick. Maybe something like /disguise <NAME>
I can understand how frustrating it can be to join a game and people yell at you "Omg mod ban XXX he haxx" etc.

Does anyone (mainly staff) agree with this? Please feedback ^^ (no poll this time)

Staff can already nick themselves, as i remember Orangeric88 doing it once. ;)

Moderators have the same perks YTers have. They can Vanish and they have access to /nick.

Hello! So I can't really discuss staff permissions, but trust me we have the ability to hide ourselves wherever and whenever it's required. The staff team is equipped to handle all possible situations that can occur on the server.

I know you can vanish (like gamemode 3 / spectator mode) but I mean just changing your name and hiding the rank if you just want to play without being targeted and/or asked to ban people.

I like the idea, but people sign up for staff, and I think they should read (if they didn’t) all the official application/FAQ posts to he ready for what they are applying for. Everyone applying should know that the stuff “player X is hacking” happens to the staff all the time.

I'm sure Moderators have the permission to nick or vanish themselves,
This does not work in a game however.

This is basically the same thing as /vanish, but this will also work in a game. The best benefit of that is to catch hackers immediately. I personally think this would be a good thing to add, but not as a separate command. Just let /vanish do the same thing as your suggestion, but within the vanish command itself.
