Swear Words Should be Banned

I noticed that a lot of people have sworn on the forums and I think we shouldn't be allowed access to words like this. So why not just not let messages be sent If they have swear words.

Staff will get around to it and delete it but why would they need to if it's blocked?

+1. But as Aimee once said, if someone wants to swear, they'll swear; they'll find a way around it eventually as you can't block everything. Whether it's replacing letters with numbers, or using symbols such as $,£,!,%,^,v,*, etc, people will always be able to avoid it.

True, I guess this is more for those appeals where they wore what they said to get muted (racial slurs swearing). Though maybe if you swore on the first message it doesn't allow you to talk for another minute or however long is wanted.

Sorry didn't mean to hit enter. Anyways just like the spam system it won't allow them to talk for a while if they swore the first time, most people probably wouldn't wat to wait over like a minute and just give up.

It would have to be at least a 5 minute probation, maybe ranging up to an hour or so. 1 minute to a keyboard warrior 12 year old is like 15 seconds to us 'normal' people
