why do we have to warn someone if they swear if they know that they shouldn't? once they swear it shouldn't be a warning because they should know by the rules it isn't allowed

Because not everyone knows that swearing is not allowed on this server. There are many servers that allow swearing, but this one is not one of them.. which is why we warn them if they manage to swear or say something inappropriate that gets through the plugin.

Also, staff try not to ban & mute too many people when we can. Warning them gives them a chance to stop whatever they're doing & prevent from getting banned or muted.

Yes, but like I said; It's hard to tell who knows & who doesn't know.. which is why we give everyone the same amount of warnings before a mute/ban.
