Hey Cubecrafters!

The recent EULA change has pretty much made everyone go bonkers over there clonkers. So I was thinking, what if we returned to regular BUT instead of buying the donor rank, you buy it with your in game money.

As players get rewarded with points when they play, they could use the points to not only buy in-game items
but an actual rank! It would work like this, 1 point = 1 penny. So iron rank would be 1000 points, lapis = 2500 and so on.

Players could still have the option to donate to the server, and it rewards them with points...?
This change would prevent people from complaining about EULA and the server would still earn money.
Players with donor ranks will keep there own ranks because if they were removed we would be annoyed....

So basically, people will think of donors as people that are very good at sky wars or something rather thank wow that kid must have rich parents. And yes, I know that I said that they could buy points but you could only buy a certain amount.

If you all like my idea, please do say.

It's going to be hard for any server to own money after these changes, without perks. Still, this is a great server, and many people are willing to donate just because.

Fully agree with the idea, except maybe make it more expensive, like 10 points = 1 penny. I have Lapiz, and the 12,000 points I have would be enough to buy emerald...

And yes, buying points with cash is not allowed.

We are working on systems to get something like this done. Although your suggestion in specific would be against the EULA, theres other ways of doing it.

About money, the server will run till the money lasts, when there will be no more money, we will shutdown, end.

EULA might shut down CCG!?

WHY MOJANG!?
The EULA is like a contract you need to sign before hosting a server, if you betray the contract, you get sued.
So, if CCG doesn't abide by the contract and follows the EULA, the EULA can't shut down CCG.
However, if they do abide the contract, CCG won't get enough donations, and as Halo said, they will shut down from a lack of donation and money.

So it's a lose-lose situation.

Our only hope is for the EULA to get removed from thousands of complaints...
Well IMO the EULA isn't all that bad. The no pay2play is very appealing to me, and I look forward for it to be implemented into all the servers. The only reason is not just because of Realms, it's because there are a few, out of like a thousand, bad eggs out there who charge 1,000 to 10,000 for kits. They are not super frequent, but Mojang has to stop them, but they affect everyone as a whole. The major problem I have with the EULA is the issue of how servers will make money. The "cosmetics" feature is something no one will buy I think. I believe that donators should be able to buy a balanced and alternative kit to stones, key word balanced. As in, no Obsidian OP kit in Kit Pvp, nor god apples, nor better armor, etc. If they would implement that, I believe a larger majority of the population would be satisfied.

If you would like a well- researched informative video on the EULA, watch Bebop Vox's video describing the entire issue, from both viewpoints. Maybe you might change your opinion, or your old one will become strengthened.

And if CubecraftGames becomes lacking in money, I think it's time they might try these methods. I just hope if they implement #1 in the video, the forums will be accessible to all.
