Anyone got a screenshot of an error message that would appear if you tried to join any other game using 1.8?

Don't have one, but you will be prompted to log on with a 1.9+ client to play other games. The 1.9 PvP is still there and emulated 1.8 PvP is there for 1v1 PvP duels.

Lobbies are split up (not mixed). I've noticed this when the 1.8 skywars had 50+ lobbies but 1.9 one had about 30 lobbies.

Why would Mojang revert back to 1.8 PvP? The cooldown is a permanent change as of 1.9 and the attack speed is actually an attribute under generic.attackSpeed. There's emulated 1.8 PvP in which the attack speed can be set to 30+.

I'm not against 1.8 but a lot of other servers already have 1.8 games. If this server decides to make 1.9+ fully backwards compatible with 1.8, then say bye-bye to Cube's unique feature: true 1.9+ combat. Some stuff can't work or work differently in 1.8 such as elytra PvP and projectile accuracy. What would Cube have to offer that no other server has if it were to have 1.9/1.10 clients log into 1.8 servers like most servers do? Little to nothing, with eggwars as the only exception.

I agree with @JustRyann since there are way more hacked clients in 1.8

You can now connect to CubeCraft using 1.8 clients to play SkyWars and EggWars! You will need to connect using a 1.9 or 1.10 client to play our other games. The switch is automatic, all you need to do to access the 1.8 server is join with a 1.8 client.

This does NOT mean 1.9/1.10 SkyWars and EggWars are gone. Just connect with 1.9/1.10 to keep playing on those versions :)

Its so funny how everyone first hated that cubecraft became 1.9, and now it came back, and everyone hates 1.8.

Ironic, isn't it? The majority of these 1.8 players still hate 1.9 but hate new 1.8 clients. There's even nasty hacks such as an infinite reach hack that will ruin 1.8 for sure if it's able to be used on this server. That's one of the biggest problems of keeping 1.8: more loopholes to bypass, more bugs that are patched in later versions, and also more bypassed hacks.
