As of about a half hour ago (aprox. 6:30 pm EST, 19/10/17) the official rules were updated. Most of the rules make sense, however some just don't.

1) "Users with a Youtuber rank may advertise their channels and other social media accounts."

From what I understand, this means regular players can not promote their channels, In the past they could as long as they didn't spam, which I though was good. It gave players a chance to get more subscribers. Now on YT rankers can, and that means players need to go to other severs or popular youtubers comment section so that they can get a YouTube rank on Cubecraft.

2) Camping is defined as intentionally avoiding playing the game as intended by making it impossible or near impossible to access you. Camping is strictly prohibited.

Would thing include me breaking my bridge to mid or not making one at all in eggwars? What about never leaving my island in skywars? If both of those a punishable, what about other players constantly breaking the bridges in team modes whether you rebuild them or not?

3) Trolling is defined as intentionally taking an action with the sole purpose of annoying, upsetting, or bullying another player. Trolling is strictly prohibited.

Trolling can take many forms, like killing/injuring teammates, breaking crafting tables to steal from teammates, breaking defenses for no reason in games like Blockwars, spamming a player with friend/party invites or intentionally blocking teammates from building towers in Tower Defense.

This is something I had a big issue with. As some of you may know, I received a warning for trolling a while back.

What had happened was, I used the 'Bomber' kit in skywars, to build a trap. I told someone to step on it and they would receive an achievement, when in reality they would be blown up and die. At the time, this was not stated as being against the rules in any way, nor is it now. I was told that it would be made clear in the rules, and about a month later it is still not covered. So, is it still punishable or not?

4) These changes are not promoted anywhere.

Originally posted in Discord by Spyro, these changes to the rules are not posted in a warning on the server. I believe that a clear message should come up when you join the server for the next few days, as well as timed message, like the sentinel one. This would stop players from being punished on rules that they didn't know changed. Lots of players don't use the forums, and I only found out they were changed anyway on discord like 20 minutes ago. And don't tell me players should be checking the forums every day for rule changes, that's unrealistic.

I'am really annoyed with the advertising youtube/twitch channel update
That was the main reason small youtubers joined cubecraft, is to enlarge their fan base based on posting cubecraft content.
What i'd like to see is reducing the requirements for the youtuber rank if this rule is permanent. maybe making is 20k instead of 40, I mean other big servers have it set to 30k subs

In short cubecraft is no longer media friendly

fair argument it should be clearer

exactly! Most dont check the forums because the rules are relatively the same from server to server ive done that myself, the forums is also a player minority if you want to advertise something, do it on the server not here itll be noticed more

this i can agree with, if its harder to obtain the rank the qualifications should also change, otherwise the youtube rank will become exclusive to those that already have it ( against the eula right there) this also kinda sets me back on my plans for next year as well which bums me out

Yees, about the troll rule:
If I'm trapping and someone from my team steps in my trap, I can't do something against it.

This may be a bit annoying for some, but it reduces the amount of spam in chat. Also there were not many people that would join the streams from chat. Whenever I saw someone advertise their youtube/stream, I typically saw a lot of hate or just someone saying "no" to the person in chat. I feel this is better so that it allows for the youtuber rank to be more of a desired rank and gives them another feature that regular ranks do not have.

"Camping can take the form of skybasing, building a floating base far from the normal play area, surrounding yourself with hazards like lava, or otherwise making yourself inaccessible for no other reason than to create a stalemate." So based off of the examples provided in the rules, no it would not. This would more be building a base under your island, going to build limit in a sky base, or building behind your island and destroying the bridge to your base out there etc.

While building traps is not considered trolling, it would become an issue if you said "Step on this pressure plate to receive a free rank" as this then breaks this rule:
Chat trolling
Chat trolling is defined as any sort of language meant to confuse, trick, or troll other players. This includes tricks like telling players to press Alt+F4, using color codes to make fake private messages, and other methods of trolling others. Chat trolling is strictly prohibited.
As long as you do not include a chat message the would fall under that rule, then it is okay to build little pressure plate traps, as long as it is not to kill your own teammates.

It has been stated on Camezonda's forums profile page, but it would be a good idea to have them announced somewhere else as well. I know they were mentioned about in Discord quite a lot, but regardless patience is key.

Um... not really because wherever i go ,even nearly full lobbies, rarely is chat used, also all youve done is made youtuber rank harder to get while involuntarily promoting other servers

However, I'm not making people close their game and I'm not sending fake private messages. Would the 'offence' I committed fall under chat trolling or trolling? (Which I believe only one of which should be punishable)

Tbh, I don't see anything wrong with the rules, everything you just said is a huge downside.

Camping is a problem, but you can fight them off easily with enderpeals either on eggwars or skywars.

This could be the only problem, I even think you can report them, and they can get a punishment. I'm not sure, but if you see any of these, just contact a staff member

From every single stream I tuned into for a second when someone advertised it, I think a solid 100% of them were surfing through lobbies, avoiding warnings & still advertising to hundreds in a few seconds time. They were spamming it forever now, and we could do little about it as getting evidence would be difficult.

We do not mind traps, but if you say something in chat that is meant to trick or troll a player, for example “step on this pressure plate for a free rank”, I do not think that is allowed. It would be a chat trolling offence.

If you don't have the Youtube rank and are recording or streaming, just say "I'm recording" or "I'm live on Youtube/Twitch" and if someone asks for your channel name just tell them. Just a way around the new rule which lets ppl know and if they check out your channel its bc they asked you for the name and not bc of spam. Anyway you do have some good points.
