This server needs some help!

Hi!

First off, I would just like to say this server is a very good server. The games they are making and the community of players they are attracting are all positive attributes to this server. I love to play on here all the time when I have free time. Since I play a lot, I know that the amount of hackers is a continuing issue that isn't being dealt with. To my knowledge, many forum posts that pertain to reporting hackers aren't being dealt with, and the helpers and moderators that are on the server are either not doing their job, or they aren't doing it well. I've tried to become a part of the help by applying for helper. That is another issue. I have applied 6 times.

Whatever the plans are for removing the hackers that seem to be a huge threat to whether this server will continue on, I hope that all members of this site will read this and know how big of an issue that this really is. I haven't played a hacker-free game since... I don't know when.

This is a problem! Take notice to the problem, CubeCraft staff. There are plenty of anti-cheat plugins that can be installed to make the game a little bit better. Yes, I know that the game will never be purely hacker-free, but the amount that I see in every game is starting to become annoying and a little disappointing to know that this problem is recurring and will probably be the downfall of this server unless the problem is fixed. This makes me, along with several other players, not want to be a part of the community anymore. That is something that none of us want to do because like I said, this server truly is a very well-put-together server. Unfortunately, hackers are ruining this community of awesome players that just want to come together and destroy an egg or play some other games.

I hope everyone that sees this is more aware of the problem that is destroying this server.

They are aware of all the issues stated above, making you staff won't make anything better, there are already plenty of staffs on the server that are doing their job daily. The anti-cheat that they're working on will be put in effect in no time at all, just be patient with it. As for hackers, they have reduced dramatically in the past few weeks if you've been actively playing on the server, just keep reporting them, that's your role as part of the community who wants the server to get "better".

I understand that they are working on the anti-cheat at the moment, but this has been a problem for a little over a year and a half. No server should take this long to notice what is wrong with it. I understand that it is a WIP, but that doesn't mean that the staff has to go completely silent in the matter.

Like I said they already know about the issue, you're not the only one that noticed it lol, players all over the server knows that and they're already a lot of similar posts to this, so these posts need to stop coming as they're just repetitive of the same matter over and over again. It's a WIP yes, they don't need to update every single detail to you or the players while working on it, they only need to announce the outcome when its officially released. So back to the point, just be patient and wait, report every hacker you see in game instead of complaining here on the forums about how staffs aren't doing their job and making you staff and it'll make the server better than it is. This ain't gonna help.

Currently, the developer team is working on a new anti-cheat. The reason why they're not using an OpenSource one such as AAC and keeping it is because it is a well-known Anti-Cheat, meaning that there are hacked client specifically made to meet the demographic of negating that anti-cheat. Secondly, if the staff make their own anti-cheat, it means that it can fit into whatever gamemode they want - for example the NCP they currently use would think you're fly hacking in Super Craft Bros when you double jump.

The staff does understand your concerns, and they are currently beta-testing the anti-cheat. For now, just be a little bit patient. :]

Developers are currently working on a new anti cheat. The reasons why it's important to make your own are stated above ^^

Player reports are being handled. There are just a lot of them and it's difficult to keep up.
I don't think you have the rights to say helpers/moderators aren't doing their job right.
First off, helpers can't ban. I personally don't think you can blame helpers for the huge amount of player reports which are still open. They deal with the incorrect reports,...more can't be done.
Moderators are (as mentioned earlier) doing their utmost to handle as many reports as possible.
