Hello everyone, this is my final guide about tower defence and it covers pro strategies you can use to win your Tower Defence games. Let's get started!

Offence

Early Game

If you are wanting to do an early rush I recommend cave spiders or pigmen. Sometimes you can use Silverfish as well if the enemy team placed a lot of ground towers.

The Pigman is known for moving faster than the other troops, so it is able to reach the castle quickly. It is cheaper than the Skeleton, and sending them early while the other team is unprepared could get you a win. It is also immune to fire. On the other hand, they don't have much health and don't deal much damage to the castle.

Cave spiders are level 4 and 5 spiders, and are invisible and immune to all towers except mage and ice, making them a good troop to use.

Mid Game

If you want to end the game in an average amount of time, try using level 4 skeletons or blazes. Throwing a few witches in there can help too.

Level 4 skeletons look like wither skeletons riding a zombie horse. They have lots of health and are immune to mage towers and inferno potions. Most of the time the enemy team won't be able to kill them before they reach the castle, and adding in some witches and spamming speed potions can almost guarantee a win.

Blazes are also an option if you want a flying troop. Level 3 or 4 is usually a good option, as well as sending a few witches and spamming speed potions. If you are sending multiple waves, try to speed up the last wave first, because if you clump all the blazes together they are less likely to die to the towers.

Late Game

Late game is the phase when Armageddon arrives or is getting close. For this stage I recommend using level 4/5 magma cubes. Giants and max level blazes can also work, depending on the enemy's defence.

You want to spam health potions on your magma cubes and keep sending witches. Witches move faster than the magma cubes so they will catch up and be able to provide a constant healing until they pass by. Two waves of magma cubes is also good.

If you are going to send a giant, you are most likely going to end up completely broke afterwards so make sure you are fairly confident you can win with it. If the other team has a full defence with every tower spot covered it's probably not the best idea.

Defence

Early Game

The very first thing you want to do for defence is place a mage tower and upgrade it to level 3 to easily kill the zombies the other team will send. If you want, you can do this thing called XP stalling where you put the mage tower towards the end of your path. The zombies will still die, but it will prevent the enemy team from getting EXP from them until they get right to the end of the path.

Mid Game

Your mid game defence depends on what the enemy team is sending or what you think they're going to send. The most essential to defend against are cave spiders, blazes and skeletons.

Every good defence needs plenty of mage and ice towers. Cave spiders are invisible and can easily be missed by your own eyes, and these are the only two towers that can kill them. Having level 4 ice towers all the way down your path can also help against blazes.

For blazes you will need an air-based defence. Focus on upgrading archer towers to level 4 instead of placing a bunch of level 1 towers, and prioritise 5x5 turret and necromancer towers before putting down more powerful/expensive 3x3 towers such as zeus.

For skeletons you will need the opposite - a ground-based defence. Artillery path 2 is good for this, but you will also want some quake, ice and sorcerer towers in there too. Quake is extremely good against skeletons so get a few of those in first.

Late Game

By late game, you should have a balanced defence made up of all of these towers above. Try to fill in every space with a tower, and focus on getting max upgrades on as many as possible. Giants and magma cubes can only be killed with a strong defence. If you see a giant has been sent, spam inferno potions on it until it dies.

That's the end of this guide, I hope this helps you to become a pro Tower Defence player!

Me and my friends saw you in a lobby! I was really trying to get up there using the jump pressure plate, but I couldn't. Lorilamb and Suedivy were successful in reaching up there, but by the time I did, you left. Anyways, it was fun spotting you in a lobby!
