I think that kills should give a golden apple, because in the game golden apples are so hard to find, and there is no incentive to killing other players.

Hello CubeCrafters,

I’m very happy to announce our release of Ultra Hardcore (UHC)!

The idea behind UHC is that you get teleported into a world, you have to get wood, mine and survive, while other players in the world try and achieve the same thing, however, there is a catch. Natural health regeneration is turned off, meaning every heart counts. While dealing with the battle of nature, you also have to worry about other players, as they may also hunt you down and kill you, in this savage fight to be the last player standing!

Once you have spawned in the world, you'll face many challenges. Finding food and shelter to protect you from the mobs at night, mining ores to build defences, all while ensuring that you keep as much health as possible. Should you need to regain health you can eat golden apples or drink a potion, both of which are hard to find! If you're feeling really daring you could even go to the Nether, though be warned: The floor is lava and Ghasts are not friendly.

Normal mode​

You'll be battling through Minecraft Survival to find the resources you need to survive. However the World Border will be shrinking all the time. These games usually last for a heart pumping hour.

Speed mode​

Want to get a quick UHC Fix? Then Speed Mode is your friend. You'll have 10 minutes to gather resources. Once this period is over you'll be teleported into a Deathmatch arena where you'll face all the remaining players. Speed Games have a few tweaks. You'll have a slight speed boost (it is called Speed after all), Trees will fall down quicker, and you'll be able to find ores much easier. Oh and ores are automatically smelted once you have mined them (so put your furnaces away ;)). A Speed UHC game will last about 15 minutes.

UHC Worlds​

Unlike normal survival we’ve improved the quality of our worlds. We have amazing terrain generated, and tons of custom buildings to find hidden around them. Here are a few amazing screenshots of what you may expect to find:​
