As well as the 12 default kits, duels has a custom kit creator which allows you to make kits and use them in duels, with the only limit being your imagination (and the inventory limit). These custom kits are only usable when challenging a specific person to a duel and cannot be used for random duels.
Accessing the Kit Creator and Choosing a Kit Slot
In order to start making a custom kit, you must first go to the PvP NPC in the main lobby and right click on it. From there you go to the bottom left of the menu and click on the redstone. This will take you to a menu where you choose which kit slot you would like to choose.
Every player starts off with 1 kit slot for free. A second slot costs 250 points, with prices increasing by 250 per slot up to 7 total slots. When a slot does not have a kit saved in it, it will appear empty. If there is a kit saved in that slot, it will appear as a lava bucket. You can select a slot for a kit you own and you will be teleported into the creation area.
Overview of the Kit Creation Area
When you are teleported into the kit creation area, you will be in creative mode. When creating a new kit from scratch, you will begin with the default kit (Chain/Leather Armour, Stone Sword, Bow, Arrows, Bread). You can then remove these items as you wish and add new items from the creative inventory. To modify items, such as weapons, there are 4 NPCs to help you out - Enchanter Eric, Ronald the Renamer, Snape the Brewmaster and Settings Sid.
Ronald the Renamer
Ronald the Renamer is the most simple of the 4 NPCs. Around his area there are anvils for you to rename your items. These work the exact same as vanilla minecraft anvils.
Enchanter Eric
Enchanter Eric is the NPC used to enchant all your weapons and armour. To enchant an item, hold it in your hand and right click on the NPC. This will open a menu where you can select enchantments for that item.
All the available enchantments for that item will be shown. On the menu, you can also select what level of that enchantment you want. You can do this by selecting the correct item. The enchantment level will go from the lowest at the left to the highest on the right. You can also choose to completely remove the enchantment from the item.
Snape the Brewmaster
Snape the Brewmaster can be used to edit the potion effects that stay on permanently during the game. When you right click on them you will be met with a menu.
This menu shows all the available potion effects from you to choose from. When you click on one of these options, you will be met with another menu. This menu lets you choose the level of the effect, with the lowest on the left and the highest on the right. You can then select the level and it will apply the effect for during the duel.
Settings Sid
Settings Sid enables you to change the settings for the duel. When you right click on them, you will be met with a settings menu.
You can toggle each option by clicking on the stained glass underneath the logo. If the glass is green, the option is enabled and if it is toggled red it is disabled. Those who own Iron rank+ may select the map that their kit can be played on.
Commands
There are a couple of useful commands in the kit creation area.
/namekit [Name] - Changes the name of the kit
/reset - Resets your current kit to the default kit.
Saving Your Kit
In order for your kit to be saved, you must go over to the green saving NPC and right click on it. This will save the kit with all your settings.
IF YOU DO NOT SAVE YOUR KIT AND LEAVE THE GAME/LOBBY ALL YOUR CHANGES WILL BE LOST. You can still leave the lobby using /hub and the red lobby NPC, but this will not save your changes.
