I don't really like the idea of updating to 1.12 because 1.12 doesn't really add anything too usefull to the server, also if the server gets updated to 1.12, what will happen if someone tries to connect with a 1.9-1.11.2 client? A third way of joining the server? A message that says "update to minecraft 1.12"? No, I don't like the suggestion, sorry.

What? You can just use 1.12. Let's be honest here, no other 1.9 combat server has a big playerbase other than cubecraft. So you only need to switch to 1.12.
You've made so many threads about wanting them to update the server. That doesn't seem to be their priority at the moment, so your threads start to look like spam. So I'm not surprised if one gets locked.

I don't like updating my mods, only if it's really necessary, like an update to 1.13, so switching to 1.12 would be annoying
Nothing much changes ye know, only the healing system is not a complete piece of horsecrap in 1.12... the little things.
That isn't Cube's problem. Cube need to make progression in on the server. But as I said and you said above we should all wait till 1.13.
What about mods? I don't really like updating my mods list to a newer version of minecraft if it will be changed to another version (1.13) soon
Oh no, 10 minutes of my life, *gasp* in exchange for CubeCraft having a (s word) healing system at the moment and when I update it gets better. If it bothers you so much just settle for LabyMod or 5zig.

Mods shouldn't even be a problem here. Cube doesn't need to keep our mod list in mind when updating, as it's completely 3rd party & won't effect the server whatsoever. Cube is advertised as a server that requires no mods to play, so they shouldn't consider mods as a reason not to update to a newer version.
Why do people keep saying 1.12 offers nothing? 69 blocks and a greatly improved combat system, portable chests, and improved elytra mechanics are not “nothing”

@Snodia I originally settled with 1.13 since February was the original release date, it was pushed back until at least May so I went for it again

Can't we just wait? By the time they actually get 1.12 out 1.13 will be out and people will be screaming at them to update again and they're already working on 1.12.

Just saying: The sooner we update to a version like 1.12, the better. It'll probably take quite a bit of work, but if we do it now, we won't have to do it for 1.9-1.12 AND 1.12-1.13. The sooner we get this out of the way, the sooner the update to 1.13 will arrive once the actual version is out.
Combat between 1.9 and above has been heavily tweaked to have better shields, new armour mechanics, better saturation, balanced regen, and much more. There's been lot's of changes made to it.
If staff call it a petition, it probably is one, im not a staff fanboy, I don't agree with most of the things they say, but this is one I DO agree with
