A few weeks ago, someone sent me a nice gif. I really wanted to change my profile picture into that gif, but the file was too large. Recently, I've seen some other people complaining about the maximum file size of profile pictures, so I wanted to make a suggestion thread about it. My suggestion is: Please upgrade the maximum file size of profile pictures to 100 kilobytes, so that we can change our profile pictures into the most of the gifs. Nothing to add to this. Thanks, RemiO05.

You can use Gravatar to get round this. CubeCraft are unlikely to change the limit, seeing as Gravatar has a very large file size limit.

Wouldn't it be easier to be able to upload your picture instead of first making a Gravatar account, signing in, etc?
Yes, it would be. However, CubeCraft probably have much better things to spend their resources on than allowing all 200,000 forums users more than 100MB of space on the website. It only takes 2 minutes to create a Gravatar account, anyway.

I don't think it would be that much effort to only to upgrade the maximum file size tbh.

I think it would be a nice upgrade from the current size, and I wouldn’t want to make a new account on a different website just to change my profile picture.

I don't think it would be too much effort to make a Gravatar account either, to be honest.
For reals though, as Commissioned said: Cube could use that memory for so much more, while all you have to do is just make an account somewhere to upload a profile picture. It'll only take a few minutes, and then there's no long term consequences. There's nothing wrong with making an account on Gravatar to change your profile picture to one of a higher quality.

I was walking down the street tonight, NO COSTUME, just me, my green sweater, and my brown dog. And someone gasps and says "Yooo it's Shaggy and Scooby Doo!" wild.
We used rainbow jelly… turns out it works on players too. 🌈
