Should it be required to have warnings? In the server rules, the info board, and before the game starts that teaming is not allowed for one example. All the possible offences are also listed in the server rules that players should have read before joining the server. Also, people may not understand the language you are warning them in making them inefective while the rules are in multiple languages, and there are ways to translate them if needed, but those resources may not be available mid game.

There's a large problem with this, and though the multiple measures of telling a player, they still may not know. We warn a player for teaming as it solidifies the evidence, and gets rid of any pardons a player may bring up in an appeal.

Other things shouldn't require warnings. I reported someone for saying something along the lines of 'All blacks should die' and it was denied because I didn't give proper warnings. That person knew what they were saying and any sane person would know that you can't say something like that. Do we really need to warn someone when they say something like that?

I agree that certain things shouldn't require a warning, racism and swearing directly at people comes to mind.

These are things that I believe should be excluded for warnings, quite obvious that these are against the rules.

It should require a warning. Currently for teaming, you are supposed to say, "xxYY and zzPP, stop teaming." If they continue however, they can be reported. I have been told that you require, in your video, evidence of you giving them the warning. I'm not sure you can do anything about the language, most people do it in English, but that is an issue. People should read server rules before joining of course but do people follow or listen to rules these days? There is quite a majority that do, but also, a large minority of people that don't.

The problem I see here is:

Players almost never read the rules before joining the server and who are you to tell them what to do in the first place.

Yes, warnings should be a thing. On the info board you can tell people in your lobby that teaming isn't allowed, and in the game starting message it's just something to reference if someone says it's allowed. I don't think that this should count as a warning though.

Okay, there should be warnings but not for all the rules, as Chimp said:

Racism and targetting people shouldn't need warnings

Racism is even against the law. The LAW guys the LAW.
If you are expressing your opinion its not banned in the USA. You can literally say (censored) to someone in the USA and you would be in favor of the law if he attacked you. In germany where I live we had a..... h..... and since then out free opinions haven been a little reducted to prevent things like racism.
But the USA is like..."This right is too important we can't limit it at all"

I wasn't telling them what to do, it's just something they should do. It's like reading the instructions before doing something, your going to crash and burn without it.

If you say "All blacks should die.", you'd be breaking the law. Anywhere in the world.

As I have said in this very thread, I'm not telling them to read the rules, I'm saying they should, as all servers have different rules and may have very different punishments.

I kind of think this is a good idea, players won't be able to use the excuse 'I didn't know' :)
