So as the thread title pretty much says: What is happening to CCG? The server is undoubtedly doing terrible in several fields at the moment. On the same hand, these problems aren't getting fixed or prevented before they occur. I apologize for the long thread, but I'm gonna talk about my main concerns.

1. As we all know, 1.8 returned a couple of weeks ago. While everyone seemed happy and started enjoying 1.8 again, and players who had stopped playing on CCG due to the 1.9 update returned back, Staff couldn't foresee the negative effects of 1.8. Hackers are back to the game again, numbers of them, from simple anti-knockback to more advanced hacks that are basically impossible to beat. Frequent skywars and team skywars players know what I exactly mean when I say there must be at least one hacker in every game we play. They don't seem worried when they are using their hacks either, as they know they will get unbanned in a month, when it should be a permanent ban for them. I just don't understand how a huge server as Cubecraft can't have a good anti-cheat system that's functional. Although it is said there is one, I doubt it does any work at all. How I see it, in my opinion, 1.8 was brought back as Owners realized they lost a lot of players who used to benefit the server in a way or another, not because people wanted 1.8 back so much.

2. Staff, staff, and staff. Staff are hardly doing their job in managing the server. Reports are not replied to, which increases the amount of hackers we find in game. A lot of bugs, which are more than a year old, still are available to date and they don't/won't seem to ever get fixed (i.e the "SEARCHING FOR GAMES" sign that appears in the map section, the disturbing map shuffle, and many more.) It's unpleasing to know 30+ staff exist and most of them don't bother to reply to reports, or to work on improving the server, when they mentioned otherwise while applying for the staff position. (This is not meant to personally offend any Staff Member, I'm just stating my opinion.)
Other Staff, such as Admins and Owners, pay the least attention to our suggestions. They don't take them into consideration until they experience it themselves. For instance, the Hulk kit which I requested removing in team skywars was never removed, when most of the people who had replied to my thread agreed on removing it. Mentioning good reasons for it to be removed, I got no professional reply from a staff who's responsible for such stuff, although I tagged a lot of Admins and some Owners. I only got a reply, which I thought was sarcastic and least convincing, from an Admin. I believe the Hulk Kit was only removed after an Admin noticed it should be.

3. The Staff team don't prioritize the things to work on the server. You can notice the server really needs bugs to be fixed, but what happens instead is more and more Eggwars maps, or any other update that is not as important as bugs fixing. Some things are needed to be taken care of before other stuff, which doesn't happen. In my opinion, Owners just leave bugs until players are used to them, while they proceed to work on other stuff that will make the server appear more attractive to newcomers.

To sum it all up, I really think the server needs to be taken more care of, as it is one of the most popular servers on Minecraft. I didn't mean to offend anyone through my words, but I just thought I really had to write what I believed was necessary to help change the current things. I regret to believe that the server has turned from a fun project that's run by Owners to a business that earns them money. I do hope Owners take a look at this, and I really wish you guys share your opinions as well.

Thanks.

Staff doesn't seem to open their eyes. I tried so many times to explain what they're doing wrong. It's one of the reasons why i'm in active at the forums right now, because the community is just crap right now. Staff is accepting as much helpers as they can, but what I noticed is that when they were still member they were 24/7 at the forums, but now they reply to a thread once a week.

The devs are working on an anticheat that may or may not be being tested as of now :P

Oldest reports are given priority so the reports that have been sitting for 2 months are being replied to. The staff is making progress though. Helper applications are being accepted and a load of new helpers were recently added

The devs have very little time and people so they are working on the things they are being bugged about the most before taking suggestions. Some suggestions are taken though such as removing "hacks" from the blacklist.

Eggwars maps are the jobs of the builders and are very easy to make compared to the development of cubecraft games.

You're just repeating what all staff members are saying. I personally think these are all poor excuses. "Developers are working hard" Working hard on a free build update or a new anti cheat doesn't take 2 years..

I agree with you zel staff should take some more time to look at reports and fix their bugs. But I'm afraid that this thread is pointless because staff would say: "we are not robots." But I hope that they'll see for 1 time that the whole system is a bit... how can I say this without raging staff? well it could be better ;)

I didn't say they were working hard. They may have other things going on, not have that much motivation to work on cubecraft, or as I said in response to another thread they just want to have some fun on cubecraft games instead of working on development all the time. For example @Mac ran a game jam because it was fun for him so obviously if they were coding robots they would pump updates out every week but they are like you and me and don't want to spend all day working on something.

So are you're wanting us to be robots and not have a life outside of minecraft? I've spent 5 hours solving reports in 1 single day to see how many I could do in that time frame, and ofc I solved many. Now I'm telling you, solving reports can be fun but if you're doing it for 5 hours straight, it's painful then. Before complaining about something, always put yourself in our situations and also, don't complain to staff if you don't know either what we are doing.

There really are only a small amount of staff members that are/used to dedicate a lot of time in reports (what they signed up for).
Oldest reports are given priority so the reports that have been sitting for 2 months are being replied to. The staff is making progress though. Helper applications are being accepted and a load of new helpers were recently added
Quite sure there is over 30 mods, and about 20000 reports right? Not sure if that is a correct answer, but if you think about it; 20000:30 = 700+/- reports each, what would be easely done in 2 weeks.
Some suggestions are taken though such as removing "hacks" from the blacklist.
Removing a word from the filtered list is something that can be done in 1 second.
The devs are working on an anticheat that may or may not be being tested as of now :p
"May or may not"
Basicly what every staff member says.
They are working hard
They MAY have it done
They MAY are testing it

Never a direct answer, because most likely it isn't getting worked on.

Finally someone who explains this in a good thread, not just like "I leave Cube because of the bugs/hackers"
This is the first time I 100% agree with a thread.
Of course kill aura in 1.8 has returned and is impossible to beat, but we should just wait until the anti-cheat is released to deal with them. There's nothing more we can do. Second of all: we can't see what every staff member does on Cube, if it's on the forums, in-game or even non of these... we dont know. But if most of the staff members have other and more important thing to do, why don't search or choose some staff with their own specific job. If you just choose a few Mods to deal with report. All the reports from 3-4 weeks ago (or even older) can be handeled in maybe 2 weeks. If that's done, they can focus themself on other things such as taking order of the forums, etc... (But there are still other staff members for that and even Helpers, they excist for something.)
Then we won't have all those annoying people that spam your profile about the time it takes to ban a hacker. Them we won't have all this chaos on the server. I know, I don't know what's going on, I don't know how easy it is to do this. But if you just improve the amount of staff members or give them a specific job, this would make it much easier for the Staff member, the players and even the server. (You still have those awesome people who even aren't a moderator but would do anything for the server)
And I may sound be a little bit to bossy or rude, but everything I said is just to help Cube out of their problems. I hope at least some of you think the same of this and I hope after the release of the ned anti-cheat and Freebuild, Cube will be a little bit more attentively in the future. Thank you for reading this. :)

You're one of the less mods that's doing their job in my opinion. 5 hours of reports is much, we know, but i'm sure that 50% of the staff is inactive right now and maybe 10% is doing reports right now, but what are the other mods doing? Staffmembers could easily solve things if they were active and would work together, but now, all I see are a couple active mods and so many inactive ones.

Helper applications are being accepted and then what? They get promoted to Mods and they still don't bother to reply on reports? I've made a report about a month ago, and to this moment I never got a reply on it. Excuse me when I say players apply for staff for the privileges staff get, not for serving the community.

The devs have very little time and people so they are working on the things they are being bugged about the most before taking suggestions. Some suggestions are taken though such as removing "hacks" from the blacklist.

Things they are being bugged about? Like what? Shouldn't suggestions be as important as the things Devs are bugged about? Certain bugs have been there forever now, Devs are still not bugged about them?

True, but Staff should focus more on fixing certain stuff before they proceed to work on other less important stuff. Seeing that Eggwars is already performing excellent right now, I don't see why more maps are needed at the moment.

Why is it painful? Because only 1 or 2 Mods do the reports, while others pay the least attention to replying to reports. If all the staff worked on replying to reports for at least 30 mins each day, I assure you all reports will be answered, and doing reports for 30 mins a day shouldn't be tiring either. Applying for staff, you know what you're going into, more responsibility, more time spent on the server and on the forums. I'm sorry, but you shouldn't apply if you think you won't be able to fulfill your duty. Being Staff can be very tiring. However, if all staff cooperate together, things would be so much easier.

P.S: I wouldn't be that annoyed if there were only 5 staff members, all helping out the community. I'm just pissed by the fact that there are a bunch of staff, some of which care least about what's going on in the server.

Ofcourse you've got a life outside minecraft but the point is that there are staff members who are doing nothing with reports and you're one of that staff member who are bussy with it and I can call a few more but I've seen some staff which are doing nothing at reports and if you are staff and doing nothing on reports you shoudn't be staff in my opinion. I mean if you're not doing reports for a week or something that would be fine but I've seen a few people who haven't done a single reports in MONTHS. a

Than why are they staff?
Well is it just going to be the owners that work on the server? The current devs are trusted by the owners which is why they are staff.

If the server still doesn't have a good anti cheat, why did they return 1.8 again when they are not prepared to prevent hackers from playing in the server?
That's like saying why are there any 1.8 vanilla servers? 1.8 vanilla servers don't have an anti cheat at all...

Helper applications are being accepted and then what? They get promoted to Mods and they still don't bother to reply on reports? I've made a report about a month ago, and to this moment I never got a reply on it. Excuse me when I say players apply for staff for the privileges staff get, not for serving the community.
Most of the new moderators are people who play and enjoy the server a lot why would they spend 100% or even 50% of their free time looking at reports than playing on their favorite server? Take it from their perspective would you spends hours every day looking at the most boring youtube videos ever for no pay or reward?

Things they are being bugged about? Like what? Shouldn't suggestions be as important as the things Devs are bugged about? Certain bugs have been there forever now, Devs are still not bugged about them?
Freebuild and the anticheat get asked about constantly. The posts on the forums reflect that. Bugs on the other hand are not really talked about on the forums and devs are not spammed 24/7 about specific bugs. All current cubecraft games are playable which is god enough for now.

True, but Staff should focus more on fixing certain stuff before they proceed to work on other less important stuff. Seeing that Eggwars is already performing excellent right now, I don't see why more maps are needed at the moment.
Maybe builders just like making eggwars maps? :P They are pretty simple to make so I see why. All other games take a while to build. (except skywars is pretty much the same but sometimes bigger)

"May or may not"
Basicly what every staff member says.
The reason I say this is because I believe that the new anti cheat is being tested partially on the main server (hence all the false kicks lately) staff members claim otherwise though so this is the opposite of what they say :P

Quite sure there is over 30 mods, and about 20000 reports right? Not sure if that is a correct answer, but if you think about it; 20000:30 = 700+/- reports each, what would be easely done in 2 weeks.
Let's say you spend an hour a day on reports as a moderator. Each report is going to take at least 5 minutes to look through, reply to, archive, and register everything on the ban website. so each staff member can now get 12 reports an hour. I have talked with moderators on another server and having the ban website makes everything so much longer. I doubt mods have /ban so they have to do all of that. With that accounted for you can do 12 give or take a couple reports in an hour. With 30 mods thats 360 reports a day. It would take the staff team 2 months to sort through that many.

Staff have a site where they can ban players from. If the bans wouldn't have a 1 action (1 month) and a second. It would already be a lot faster.
Really all they have to do if it'd be a permanent ban right away is make sure they ban someone, and include the video link.
The rest should be done automaticly by the forums.
