Apple computers i wouldnt recommend they really arent built for gaming, and linux isnt for gaming at all, alienware is the best gaming product you can buy i think but it is abit pricy

The CPU is not that important for gaming. Buying a better graphics card will improve the fps way more...
The GPU is usually more important for gaming but it some games (such as Minecraft I believe) require a good CPU as well. (pls don't quote me tho)

EDIT NOTE : By saying it requires a good CPU, I don't actually mean that it requires a good CPU but rather that the CPU is of more importance than other GPU focused games.

Minecraft isn't as needy as you might think - a $200 custom PC could max it out.

I'd recommend changing the HDD to a hybrid, they usually aren't that much cheaper but can have way faster boot.

They ARE a waste of money. Pretty low quality PCs, with unsufficient cooling. They usually die because of overheating.

Agreed. I have a custom built PC so can't speak on behalf of Alienware users but I know they're crap.
I use my Macbook Pro all the time, it works almost as good as my alienware, and my alienware works GREAT ignore all of those other comments

It might be because you have, in my opinion, two of the worst sort of brands out there if you're wanting to play games. Custom builds are always better for the money in my opinion.

Nope I skype pretty much every day with people, and they always say that the game is lagging, but I never lag, on neither platform
