Armour break

[RayzMC]

We all get how fast your armour can break ( especially leather ) in OP and normal, and sometimes you can't check or you may not even know when you are PVP-ing.
I think this will be quite useful when your are battling.

Maybe like a chat notification or somewhere a little more obvious will notify you when your armour gets low/breaks.

Example: ( Situation, armour has not broke yet, but is about to )

Hey, [IGN] Chest plate is about to break!

Example: ( Situation, When it breaks )

[IGN] Your Chest plate broke!

There is an option to turn it off, if you find it annoying.
You can only recieve armour notifications from yourself and cannot see others.


What do you guys think?

I really like this idea as I often fight with people so long that after a time i fight without any armour. I'd like this.

I personally like this, because When you're in a fight and your armor breaks, and you didn't notify it, you're asking yourself.. How Did I died so fast. I was full armor!

Also When you can turn it off, would be useful If it's annoying (What you said)

But When it notify you, I'd could be better of you get a sound to it, so you know it's able to break.

But there's on thing What might can happen.
When you're focussed on a fight and you get a message, and you are looking at chat and don't give any attention to the fight you have, and you can die faster.

But I like it +1!

I think you did on old server versions, but now you only get the sound when other players armor breaks. I don't know if that's a bug, but I'd support playing the item break sound to players if their own item breaks.

Probably best to fix it by sending the sound manually and keeping the server up to date to receive the fix once mojand releases it.

Easily confused.
Lets say it's a 4v4, anyone's armour could break anytime and there isn't a "special" sound when your armour breaks.
So you do not know when yours breaks.

I like the idea, although you can just look at your armor points to know when your armor broke. I think the ''your armor is about to break'' message could be useful though

It won't necessarily be easier to win a game, but more convenient when going in a fight.

That is right, but if you good at pvp then is it easier to win a game. "No problem you are awsome" ;)

ArmorStatusHUD, LabyMod and 5zig can display your armor durability and are on the list of allowed mods.
I agree that knowing when your armor is about to break without opening your inventory is an advantage, but some people have that already.
Also it wouldn't lead to targetting, as KronosReeper said it's only shown to the player.
