So I've been a bit reluctant to making a blockwars suggestion but here we are doing so anyways (note If I make any mistakes with the current blockwars, I am sorry as I am not able to play the game currently on vacation so I am basing this suggestion on the game purely off of memory) but anyhow let's start
(Healing modifier, respawn times increasing over time/depending on deaths, health mode, new kits, burning trap and more)

New Mode
  • Health mode - okay so this mode is interesting, the goal of it is too break the other teams core which has 20 health, however every time you do that than it will add 1 health to your core, if you break the core you will have to wait 8 seconds before you can break the core again, if you get to 30 health you will come to a roadblock and can no longer get any more health added to the core (you can still do damage to the other teams core though) if they get the other teams core health down to 0 you automatically win. Deathmatch only occurs when both teams have within 4 health of each other, than they are both reduced to 3 and if either team gets to 0 they lose otherwise the team with more health wins. If deathmatch can't occur than team with most health wins
New Modifiers
  • Health modifier - if you chose this 1 all players get an extra 5 hearts to their name, simple as that
  • More trap blocks - similar to double blocks it will give you more trap blocks, 2 more trap blocks to be specific, now you will have 3
  • No trap blocks - the name kinda says it all, there are no trap blocks with this 1 active
New Power-ups
  • Regeneration power-up - okay so this 1 is fairly self explanatory, your whole team gets regeneration 5 seconds
  • Absorption power-up - this power-up will obviously give the whole team absorption for 10 seconds, it will give them 2 extra hearts than
  • Slowness power-up - okay the name might seem senseless at first but I don't mean giving your team slowness giving the other team slowness for 8 seconds
  • Blindness power-up - just like it is above the blindness power-up would give the other team blindness for 5 seconds
Respawn Timer
  • Increasing - okay so here is a new voting option for respawn timers, now this current 1 will have the respawn timers start at 9 seconds and increase by 1 second every time you die, but every time you get a kill it lowers by 1 second it has a minimum of 6 seconds and a max of 16
  • Short - this of course would make respawn timers shorter about 6 seconds every time you die
  • Long - less insensitive to die now as with this it would have you waiting 14 seconds each time you die
  • Random - this is the current 1 I believe and this would also be default (to vote for respawn timer you must be obby)
Time
  • Adding time - I like this since it would make certain games even better since well you could play on night time (gold to vote for)
  • Night vision power-up - with night there may need to be a night vision power-up thus I am suggesting 1
I know this 1 was smaller but I made this in a day now don't judge I still have 14 suggestions here (plus the new mode which if it was added editing it a bit would be fine with me I just hope it is added)

I can't say much about this thread, I'm making my own one and it has some ideas you mentioned here. I will just say if I agree or not :/

What we really need to do is take the mid-game auto balance, and kill it. We need to set it on fire, nuke it from orbit, infect it with every deadly disease known to mankind, drive a wooden stake into its heart, rip out its organs, shoot it with a silver bullet, then to make sure we should put what's left into a cage, weld it shut, bury it in concrete, and throw it into a black hole.

I mainly think blockwars needs a new gamemode to bring it back to life. I personally dislike core mode as it (for me) always ends in a row. Capture the flag can be fun but tnt kit completely ruined the idea of defending your block with blocks. It's usually just a race in between who can run back the fastest.

I like the concept of blockwars itself, don't get me wrong, I just do not think the 2 current gamemodes are as exciting as other games.

I dislike the idea of healing your block, games will probably always end up in a death match, which really should only occur if the two teams are both completely countering each other.

What I also don't like about blockwars is the building phase. Teams always end up with the same results, a box around the block with a lot of blocks spammed around it, some walls, inappropriate builds and/or a bridge to the wall and a staircase against it. I mean, why not give both teams the exact same protection as they'll end up with the same if you let them build it themself anyways, just to save time.

I'll be making a suggestion on how I think blockwars can be made more thrilling. For now, I really like your reset timer suggestions :)

I feel like these types of matches would just drag on for a long time.

Most of the kits don't do much damage, and I think that fights would just end up being in favor if those who do more damage since they have plenty of room to mess up.

Again, I don't really think they're useful to begin with. I doubt this would be different from the normal mode.

Regeneration 1? Regeneration 2?
Regen 1 itself for 5 seconds is pretty negligible in my opinion. I would probably take it if it happened to be on my way to my destination.

Whole team? I don't know about that. I rather see this just give a single player like 4 extra hearts for a short amount of time.
That's just a preference of mine.

NOPE.
I rather not be affected by bad things at random times. I completely despise things that the opposite team can pick up to hinder your team by way of debuffing.

I don't think messing with this is worthwhile. I like it the way it is, and voteble options to mess with it just seems out of place. I don't think it needs any other possibilities.

Sure I guess.
Night vision usually isn't too helpful if you have a full-bright effect.

My problem with core is that you can fight hard to break the enemies core more times during the game, then overtime comes and you lose. The last game of blockwars I played the two teams were pretty even in skill, and towards the end of the game my team just barely managed to break the other teams core. The game ended with my team's core hving all 25 health left, the other teams core having 24 health left. Then overtime came, and the game basically said that us breaking the other teams core and them not breaking ours doesn't mean that we should actually win. Blockwars is a game where one team can beat the other team, then be told that doesn't mean they should actually win. Haven't played blockwars since, probably never will again.
