Hello everyone. I'm writing this thread to express my opinions on weakness arrows and the weakness effect in EggWars and to suggest a change in the EggWars shop, as I believe that weakness arrows are quite overpowered and gamebreaking at their current state in EggWars. This suggestion is mainly for Java because I don't have much experience on Bedrock EggWars, but Bedrock players can also share their opinions under this thread if they think this should change on Bedrock as well.
As most of you know, players will have weakness effect for 11 seconds if they are hit by a weakness arrow in EggWars, and I think this is not a nice feature in a game where PvP matters a lot. Especially in late games, people end up running and avoiding fights when they are hit by a single weakness arrow because they have no chance against a player who is stacked a lot if their hits make almost no damage to their opponent. I know milk buckets exist to remove any effects players have, but having lots of non-stackable items in the inventory isn't very efficient as there are more important items to keep in the inventory for the late game. Even if a milk bucket is used, being hit by another arrow will give the same effect again so this will not be very useful and players will be discouraged from fighting. Milk bucket is a useful item for removing the effects of the slowness and weakness potions which come from the debuffer kit, and these kits aren't game breaking since kits are limited as they have a cooldown after being used. However, it's not very useful against someone with lots of weakness arrows in their inventory. Weakness arrows can always be bought for only 2 gold from the shop, and this is a very low price in my opinion.
For the reasons I mentioned above, I think that weakness effect should not be easily produced and it should at least have some limitations as it's a quite overpowered effect. Here is my suggestion to solve this issue:
Increasing the price of a weakness arrow significantly, setting a cooldown and an item limit for the weakness arrows in the inventory
Item limits for the TnTs (8) and leap feathers (3), and a cooldown for leap feathers (10 seconds) were added with the OG EggWars update and I believe doing something similiar for weakness arrows will reduce its serious effect on the game, if it's possible. My opinion is 64 gold as the price, 3 as the item limit and 60 seconds as the cooldown. I don't think it should be an item which is easily accessible.
In conclusion, I believe that weakness arrows are game breaking at their current state and I suggest making them harder to get and use to make the game more balanced.
