Recently there have been a lot of threads about the way the server is heading, if I am to be honest I agree with them. The community is not being acknowledged by the Management team. So I have a simple idea make a dedicated content team, this could be a staff position. To all people who say this is not needed, since management is busy handling something why not add a dedicated group of people who read suggestions and implement or forward this. Anyway there would be at least 4 positions for the content team. This staff position

Head(s) of the team: He/she would be in charge of over seeing what the team does. They would also be the person in charge of deciding who gets to join the team.

Mini game developer: As the name suggests they develop mini games. Now many of you are probably saying if we add this what will be the point of our main developer. These developers would be in charge of small monthly updates for each game, taking into consideration community suggestions.

Sub categories of the mini game developer:

Vanity developer: This is not a big position so anyone with a reasonable amount of code can apply for this position and as their name suggests they make vanity features for both rankers and non rankers. Also their job is to make things look nice and have a easy functionality. They will have the ability to add quests achievements.

Builders: With the amount of games being added and or updated why not let the main build team focus of adding maps to games that will get an update in the near future. That's where this position comes in handy, since a lot of games usually get very little updates why not make a dedicated builder team that's meant to make maps to keep the flow of maps to each game steady. They will also have the ability to make small changes that the build team doesn't have time to acknowledge.

Trusted: This is not a significant role in the team but its important non the less, these people will have a special sub forum dedicated just to them so that all the positions above can have a more clear view of what the community want. Select people get chosen for this rank.

Pros:
- We as the community can finally be heard.
- Our suggestions will be read.
- We will get a developer update thread every 1-3 months that gives hints on whats going to happen and what has already happened.

Cons:
-May reduce powers of certain staff.

The mini game developers wouldn't even have to make the changes to then code themselves. The could just send notes about balancing changes and small improvements to the developers. It would be good if someone that actually plays the game a lot could propose changes like that.

The mini game developer should be someone who understands the game, I agree with that. But they should also have some right to code to add small suggestions to their respective games. This is so our main developers can focus on the anti cheat, major updates and getting our bedrock version up and running.

Anyway for the thread. Your cause is admirable , but what we need to do is make our own dedicated thread team and get what we want by suggesting together in an organized manner. Together we can make a difference . Even this suggestion will 100% be ignored. Why? Because its one person suggesting it.

Making people head of vanity blah blah isnt going to do mich. its us that need to be the change we need.

If we come together and raise our demands , maybe we can change the destiny of this server ?

But as I said in the thread the developers are the ones who read the threads, they still have an opinion and the upper hand in judgement. But never the less they will always read and consider implementation.
Yep , if this suggestion can help then I support it by all means. I have no faith / not much faith in management myself though. For HUUUUGGEE updates like 1.14 Cube , it takes all of us to make a difference

In this case I believe that 1.14 will be their priority update since this is a very sizeable update. They are missing out if they won’t update to 1.14.

I do think this is a very interesting idea and you suggest it in a way that a lot of things indeed should be. The only thing that you might've not known before creating this thread is that we basically already have a dedicated person/group to reading suggestions and implementing them. If you might've heard Camezonda was employed by CubeCraft as a product manager, his job is to read suggestions, implement good ones and overall assure the quality of the content that we publish on our server.

A lot of staff members already go through all the suggestion threads that you guys create and forward the good ones to the management team or even come up with suggestions on their own. We already forwarded hundreds of suggestions from you guys and from ourselves which are ready to be taken by the product manager to be implemented to the server. A couple of these suggestions are: "[SERVER] Overhaul the kit system for every game, allowing players to edit kit layouts in lobbies, it will remember the last picked kit, you can select a kit you automatically want if a game goes OP, normal or basic. + Balance kits with the voting options. Allow ranked players to name their kits (this won't be seen by other players in-game)" and "[GENERAL] Make people aware when they found something new in a cubelet by putting something like |NEW| above it + make special event items such as hats available after a certain amount of time because now if you don't have it you will never have it." (Picked two randomly).

Now you guys are probably wondering why these things aren't implemented yet as the first suggestion example I posted above has been suggested loads by you guys. This mostly comes down to another member of the management team, of course a lot of management members have input in this, but Hub3rt is our project manager, his job is to overview projects seeing how well they're going and making sure everything gets done, and also prioritizing what should be finished first before finishing other things.

One of the main problems I feel our server is dealing with is that we don't have enough manpower to implement all the (a bit more) complicated suggestions you guys make. If you take Hypixel for example, their admin team consists of over 50 people, they have enough developers to basically bring out massive updates every week. Our team is growing, but it's still not a lot compared to for example Hypixel. The management team decided that it would be better to bring out updates almost every week that might not always be very big instead of working on massive updates that take way longer which would mean you guys have to wait longer until your favourite gamemodes get updated.

To sum this up a bit, I totally agree that we could improve a lot of aspects in the CubeCraft team and on the network itself. We surely do try to provide the best experience for players of all ages, we do this by taking suggestions from you guys, by taking suggestions from the staff team and by looking at the trends/chances among Minecraft multiplayer. You did create a very nice and clear suggestion thread that indeed gave me some discussion points to bring up in the staff team. I don't think we will make a very specific content team among staff though as we basically already have this, if you have any ideas how we could improve this process, be sure to suggest it though. We do really appreciate you guys trying to make our server better for everyone, and we do indeed try to implement what you guys want, but we can't always just implement and change everything instantly. We have a lot of things to discuss and think about before we can forward something to a developer, and then this developer has to actually create the piece of content and then it has to be tested to make sure it's working and not buggy.

This is a bit off topic, but not completely. I'm less wondering why not every good suggestion is implemented yet, but more why everything about that is kept a secret. If there was a public list of things that you plan to implement in the future, without any release date or promise of it ever happening, we would at least know that you acknowledged them and have thought about a way to implement them. I personally would be much more forgiving about smaller issues if they were on that list, even if you don't have the capacity to fix them immediately.

I think it would be better to create 'The Month Ahead' threads with plans about what we want to accomplish etc. in that month instead of actually having a massive list with all the suggestions that we're considering adding. Having such a list would indeed show you guys that we acknowledged the suggestion, but if we don't do anything with certain suggestions on that list people will ask when they will be implemented. Also the people who came up with those ideas would especially like to know when their suggestion gets implemented etc. It's just not really something we can do.

But I want to know when things will get implemented already. I don't think that having an idea about what might get implemented at all would make that worse.

Well thanks for the reply @iLoveYouu , I honestly didn’t know we had a person who reads our threads. I still think we could improve the way our suggestions are handled, as you said a monthly thread about what will happen would be good. But I feel like having a dedicated team to help Camezonda is more effective since he is one person, plus having a content team would not take work away from developers and builders. The content team will simply be in charge of making small updates that keep games constantly updated, and yes I read what you said about the lack of man power we have, I agree but there should be a way to fix this.

ok, i agree with this idea, but two things:
1)ALL changes made by the community team have to be controlled by the builders or devs, otherwise, some stuff go wrong really fast, for the rest this is a good idea.
2) for every game (or two games) there is a team of these people, they would only focus on that/those games(s).

While we do have staff whose responsibilities include reading, filtering and forwarding on suggestions I can assure you all that of all the boards on the forum, the suggestions board is the one most frequently visited by Management. While it's not always possible to implement every suggestion, obviously, as a team we recognise that we don't always do a good job at letting everyone know which suggestions we're taking a closer look at, something we're hoping to change in the future. Even if your suggestion thread doesn't get a staff comment on it, it will have been read by at least one, if not more, members of Management.
