So, Control Point was removed (RIP). Why? Will it ever come back? How come we weren't notified? :( Did I waste points on my Skeleton and Blaze kits?

Due to that it wasn't very popular and -almost- nobody played it.

Well , decision like these are more a thing for the owners to decide since they know which game does good and which game doesn't. Sometimes you got to make sacrifices in order to make place for new and better things.

Correct me if I'm wrong , but the control point kits were very cheap so I don't think that it's that big of a deal right :p ?

I haven't played that one in forever but i remember the day when it first came out, it reminds me a lot of domination in mineplex but with more teams. Before i left minecraft i didn't play it much and found the game frustrating because you would basically always be battling someone, so I'm not sad to see the game go.
