Then just for the punsIt's not like changing a few letters will stop people from knowing what your talking about.

I can at least give him credit for at least trying to come up with restrictions.Oh my goodness sorry thread creator but I am more than sick of these threads. This is not going to be implemented because it will be abused, it has been implemented in the past but cubecraft grew and it didnt work.
Lock @zRinne
you Missy have waaayyyy to much time on your handsIt's nice trying to add in restrictions to reduce abusing the command however, lets not forget how many players actually accuse others for hacking when they are not.
Take this for example, to help you look at things our way:
21 players reported someone for hacks (hackcusation) we'll be there monitoring these "hackers" which would take a really long time, the chances of them not hacking is high because salty players.
We could have handled tons of report within that timeframe, each report (site) can take up to 1-5min to catch and punish these rule breakers so if you compare watching games and handling reports on the site, which would be more efficient?
Players reporting via site.
We do not have enough manpower seeing that the server usually have 5k-25k players and we are a few compared to that.
I know the usual "Get more staff" but it isn't that easy either cause > click < and other reason I can expand on later if needed.
So imagine if we had 100 staff member and maybe 5000 players, the amount of players who would call hacks on an innocent party is high, like crazy high.
(salty players) and those who aren't too sure about hacks, just report them anyways cause why not.
Lets not forget about the amount of players who use /report just to talk to staff members and get their attention.
So we can't just send every staff member everywhere to monitor, it isn't as efficient as it seem.
Getting them on the reporting site is easier and also shortens the "hackcusation" because if you're going to call hacks on someone for the sake of being a salty kid, you're not going to put in effort to actually report someone you know isn't hacking but still killed you.
Hope you understand where I'm coming from, I know it's frustrating but there isn't much we can do, just hope that someone else recorded the hackers (if you didn't) and get them punished.
I"ll answer anymore questions you have, if you do not have any other questions, I'll go ahead and lock it.
Edit: I realized I didn't elaborate on your suggestion to have a cool-down timer for /report so here it is:
Some people are special, they have tons of time on their hands and some with hundreds or thousands of alts (We all know where they get it from :p) so, already knowing hacking isn't allowed and most likely can't be bothered if they got punished or not since alts, what would they do? Get their spam bots online to spam it while hacking cause they don't really have to use the spambots, they can waste their time ruining games while the timer runs.I'm sure there are many other ways to bypass these but! let us not forget about the complainers. So, we know how long eggwar games can last for.. reporting a random person, plays one game which last about 30 mins, reports again.
"Complainers? What do you mean?"
Basically, whenever we update something, we get flamed for:
Got the gist of it? So they would most likely come to us with a "xx mins?! Do you know we encounter hackers in every game and a game can last for 1min-10min?! Make it so there is no timer!"
- Why did you have to update it, now you ruined it.
- Why didn't you update x instead?!
- WORK ON SOMETHING MORE USEFUL
"Why are you not responding to our /report ?! You're such a useless staff" because they are obviously the only one reporting out of hundreds, right?
Okay okay, I know, it's getting too long.
[TL;DR]
Even with the timer, there are still many ways to bypass it.
Players will not be happy with the cool-down.
Hackers don't care, they probably get alts/spambots to mess with us.
There is just no pleasing everyone.
Anti cheat is being worked on, I promise.
you Missy have waaayyyy to much time on your hands
anyways umm yea i dont think i would ever spend that much time explaining this umm well said
im more of a simple explanation guy as long as it gets to their head then i dont need to make it as detailed as possible i would keep talking until they do get it but meh
Seems like no one bothered to read on. I have ways to avoid people abusing the command.
Ok, lets cut straight to the chase. CubeCraft's Anticheat is terrible, esspecially in Eggwars. It's not as bad as it used to be, but killaura and antiknockback is so common in Eggwars, Iv come to expect to deal with a hacker every third or fourth game. And, its not really worth replorting hackers, as they are likely using an alt from a free alts service (Not naming anything) or have multiple accounts they own.
Want an example of how easy it is to hack undetected on this server? RANKED people are taking the risk. Just today, I had to fight an EMERALD rank on Mushrooms (Eggwars), who had killaura, and every time someone would knock him off with a shroom, and I saw this with my very own eyes when I hit him off, would simply toggle on fly, and come back up. THE GUY WAS AN EMERALD RANK, and had all his ranked buddies with him. I can't give you any proof, or remember more than the first 4 letters of his name, so don't ask. It just shows how easy and almost risk free hacking on this server it currently is.
Well, a solution could be implemented. The legendary /report. Now, I know what many are going to say, "newer players and trolls are going to abuse that!" Well, I say we should implement a limit. Mabye level 12+ in order to use that command. And mabye a limit to how many times per every say, once per every 30 minutes. Also, if you made it more than just a one command thing, salty players would be less tempted to use it (Ex, it took a while to actually make the report go through, because you had to go through multiple menus, type up the details of what the player is doing in a secondary command, etc) as they would likely want to just get back into another game.
Hypickel's implementation was amazing, and it has done well. And no, it's not being a copycat. It's improving the server. I doubt many people will complain about CubeCraft being a "copycat" if the hacker problem here is decreased massively.
