I liked the idea and will do the same thing on Java. I’ll also cover seasonal, removed and featured games.
CURRENT:
Skywars: 7
I have played a lot of Skywars. It’s always entertaining with friends and going for challenges and play with different kits. The updates keep it refreshing enough, although I think the maps are lacking. Through the years they shifted to a way of playing I don’t really like. Good thing there is a punch bow.
Eggwars: 5
This game used to be so much fun. My favourite game to be exact. The new update and the addition of new items haven’t really grown on me. There’re to many ways to ‘cheat’ death. When you throw someone in the void they should just be dead. The core gameplay and the strategic aspect is still okay-ish
Lucky Islands: 7,5
While I haven’t played many games (Until recently my pc couldnt handle the texture pack), every game is a joy to play. So much randomness, weird strategies and different items. Only the diamonds kit and the somewhat tedious shulkers trigger me, since they harm the overall enjoyment.
Parkour: 5,5
Its not just that I have played this game too much to enjoy it. The lack of checkpoints, rewards and multiplayer (Competitive parkour is unplayable) takes away from the replayability. Simple parkour is a dead waste. Easy and Medium parkour are really good, with the exception of Autumn. Hard maps are just unfair. I have almost completed all of them. However, when you don’t have hours to play, they are simply unfair. The modifiers on the other hand give it a fun tweak and make up for some actual fair challenges.
Blockwars: 6,5
The switch from featured to changing between CTF Core / Bridges was a really good one. They keep it relevant and enjoyable. I prefer CTF the most. Its a very strategic game. Has good powerups, maps and replayability. The balance, dead draws and bugs make it less enjoyable.
Minerware: 6
This is a personal bias. I think the overall opinion of cube is quite good. It always gets selected during Community Games. Apart from some bugs and random luck based minigames, I can’t think of what makes it not stand out for me. It’s quite a cool game with fun mini-challenges. I also just REALLY hate fly through hoops.
PVP: 4
I just don’t like PvP
Ill give it credit for having your own kits, though.
Tower Defence: 7
The defenition of a strategy game. A little longer than most games. Solid replayability. Fun towers, mobs and gamemodes. Although new updates would make it so much more interesting. Really something the community dragged me into. 1 year ago i never played it.
Skyblock: 6
You know its skyblock. Just always been cool. Quests at the end are unnecessary and boring / repetitive. The unlocking of a new island is an indescribable feeling.
FEATURED GAMES:
Wing Rush N/A
Speaking of flying, there’s Wing Rush. It’ll be very short. I haven’t played this game enough to give a good review. Also got 0 wins
Layer Spleef N/A
Not played enough.
Archer Assault: 5
A weaker version of Control Point, but decent kits and abilities
Battle Zone 4,5
Its mostly because you’ll end up with 10 players and 75% of the time just have to find people. The gameplay, texture pack and replayability are really good, although completely ripped off from Fortnite.
Among Slimes 6,5
Actually I don’t know why people liked Among Us. I hated the challenges and the controls. Among Slimes fixes this. Easy challenges and simple controls. Ripped off, but a fun party game.
Quakecraft 7
On the one hand I find it the most enjoyable game ever, a simple shooting without vile graphics. On the other hand you’ll sometimes end up with 3 players and it’ll be a boring sit through. Powered Quake is amazing. Classic mode is good. One in the chamber is a good challenge, although the increased respawn time makes it annoying. The sword is also kinda a weird interaction.
Line Dash 8
Barely played it but the times I did, it was the most fun I ever had. Can’t come up with anything else. I guess it’s superb when you only play it a few times a month.
Slime Survival: 5
An alright game, but very unbalanced which makes it almost unplayable
Survival Games: 6
It’s alright.
SEASONAL GAMES:
Ender: 6
Funny game every year, but not more to add to that.
Present Rush: 7
While I’m happy this is just a seasonal game, the times I’ve played it, its quite cool. Line dash, tnt run and spleef combined.
REMOVED GAMES:
Blockband: 8
It was my favourite gamemode. Superb while it lasted.
Super Craft Bros: 7,5
One of my favourite games. Fun kits, good maps, good replayability. A Super Smash Bros like gamemode. Until bugs and 1.9 made it somewhat less enjoying and unbalanced.
Infection: 3
Never liked it and left zero impression on me.
TNT-Wars: 5
Decent gamemode, although nothing really stood out.
Tower Defenders / Control Point: 5,5
Quite a cool gamemode. Although lacking kits, and zero to none replayability.
Money Walls: 5
Cool concept, but very slow paced and mid-centered. Obsidian made it a stalling game.
Hour Glass: 8,5
Very fun, chaotic game. Still don’t know from this day why it got removed. Unique, fast paced and just enjoyable in general
TNT Run: 6
You know, the basic arcade game. Solid game, but lost it relevance over the years.
Colony Control: N/A
Never Played
Magic and Mayhem: 6,5
Quite fun and chaotic RPG, although became somewhat repetitive over time
Hide & Seek: N/A
Too long ago to leave a good review.
Parkour Minigame: 6
A decent game.
