Diamond armour has an "armour toughness" value attached to it, no other armour does
i accounted for that, if it weren't for toughness it would drain to 34% instead of the 57% it drained to.

Edit: Regen is the only possible cause, I tried the wood sword vs diamond armor thing and it would take 26 hits without armor piercing. so yea it's the regen

What is the difference with 1.13 to 1.12?

What is the difference with 1.13 to 1.12?
1.12 and 1.13 doesn't have any difference save for tridents, but once again Cube doesn't use 1.11 or 1.12 as its base version so you don't actually see the PvP changes.

Normal health in 1.12 is almost an exact equivalent to 1.9 half health for reference, hence why it should be removed due to the OPness of bows

This has absolutely nothing to do with punch bows. Maybe you should actually read some of the stuff I typed and realize that power bows are now at least 2x better than swords, while they were worse in all pre-1.11 versions[/QUOT

I think it should not be eliminated, since there are people who like Half Healt, if you do not like it, just do not play in that
:p

It what happens if other ranked players pick it.. I agree with this but there are always 2 sides of a debate

Nothing to do with bows, its to do with damage.
In 1.9, sword = strong, axe = strong, bow = strong, armour = strong, so half health mode = balanced

In 1.11+, sword = strong, axe = strong, bow = strong, armour = weak, therefore half health mode = unbalanced

Ways to fix this:
make swords, axes and bows weaker (complicated) or
make armour stronger (complicated) or
remove half health mode (easier to do)

Yes but most people when voting Shiite half hour so this would disappoint many players

No... I always prefer playing on Normal and Half Health options due to many reasons;
  • So I don't have to enter a map wide pursuit to kill one noob, or run in an infinite loop in the middle area.
  • To avoid the run and eat tactic which most of the player base use.
  • To get faster wins and compete with my friends.
Also, it is only one shot kill if you are completely unarmed on Normal and using the Power V bow, which in the most cases, doesn't happen.

Also dont forget we have shields to help out in normal health against bows.

No... I always prefer playing on Normal and Half Health options due to many reasons;

Sorry, but I am not trying to an arrogant here, I have already read your responses that are about the new changes in 1.13, but I would rather have the server stats of weapons nerfed to be like it was before (1.9-1.12.2).

But even though if that is not possible, in my opinion, this action or suggestion should be delayed until CubeCraft decide that they will add in the 1.13 support, I don't think we even have a word that they are adding in the 1.13 combat.

They dont have a choice. If they dont update nobody with the 1.13 client will be able to join because of the drastic changes. Anyway its been confirmed by owner already.

Yes that is the case atm but dw because tgis eat and run tactic wint work that well in 1.13 because eating was nerfed in 1.11.

There's no such thing as 1-9-1.12. I'll be willing to document all the changes:

1.8: Animation Changes and Blockhitting Removed
1.9: We all know

1.9.1 was what ultimately made all the changes I'm referring to in this thread, and 1.11 makes the changes slightly less apparent. 1.9.1 was released less than a month after 1.9 itself. So the bad 1.9.0 combat is what Cube has been on for 27 months now while it was the only supported version of Minecraft for 27 days. So for 26 months we've been on a bad system while we could've been on a much better vanilla one. Odds are if we updated half health was never added because it's not necessary with the new armor formulas.





Also, anyone else that voted no want to explain themselves?

Cubecraft runs 1.9.2, worse than 1.9.

1.9.2 nerfed penalty for jitterclicking, hence why noobs do a lot of damage in ccg.

1.9.3 set out to change that, but some weird glitch happened and 1.9.3 was updates in a matter of hours


1.9.4 reverted the horrible changes in 1.9.2

1.10 had no huge combat additions.

1.11 reduced hunger loss drastically from running. A much welcomed change.
Shields now block 100% of damage

1.12 had no PvP changes

1.13 introduces trident and new potions.
