Rods in Eggwars!

Hey! SrKlompenstein here, again... :eek:

As you know, Eggwars and Skywars are 1.8 now. That means for many of you...... FISHING RODS! :D
Maybe there could also be added rods in the game Eggwars. Some might think now: rods? Why? :p
Because rods are useful tools for PvP. You can hit your opponent from a greater distance with your sword or axe.

I thought of these prices:

- Hardcore-items: 15 Diamonds per rod
- Normal-items: 10 Diamonds per rod
- Overpowered-items: 5 Diamonds per rod

The prices are pretty high, because if you hold a fishing rod, you're really strong :)

Don't play 1.8 but would support a more expensive 1.9 rod in eggwars as they can be used to pull people (if cubecraft fixed them...)

I also like 1.9 PvP and if rods come in 1.9, I would find it very awesome :D

Oo love the idea maybe you can buy a more expensive but knock back 1-2 rod, that put a challenge into the game but would make the game fun, were you can troll your opponents. +1

I don't like this suggestion, one of the things I absolutely love about EggWars is the fact that you can rush at the start and you don't have to worry about players knocking you off/shooting you off. If they added this you are able to get a fishing rod right at the start and knock players off who try to bridge over to you, it would make players camp more which ruins the game in my opinion.

You're right. Maybe I will change the price to Diamond? Because you've to go to the center for Diamonds :)

I believe that if fishing rods would be added for 1.8, it could somewhat overpower the item - perhaps OP only or costing a lot? I think this because the only projectile based weapon is a bow, and it should stay like that. Bows are relatively hard to get in EggWars, but if fishing rods are easy to get, it can easily counteract people who want to play the objective instead of killing people.

As i noticed, on Cube rods do not work in pvp, the cooldown between the rod hit and a normal hit is too big, so for me, except for knocking people down with it, rods are useless.

I'm a huge fan of egg wars, & adding a fishing rod to the game could really spice things up.
