You can't use that as a point of argument, he's not a great developer with experience and tools. Just because he isn't a developer doesn't mean he can't criticize Sentinel because players know how it should work and can give their opinion on how well it works.

He shouldn't complain about Sentinel if he can't even make a bot like that himself. Sentinel does his work, he catches the cheaters. And yes, sometimes innocent players.

Sentinel is already sensitive and bans innocent players because of that. I'm happy Sentinel is here and I don't want to complain about him, he shouldn't complain either. Saying he doesn't ban cheaters at all, how would that make Sentinel better?

You seem to think that we just make Sentinel more sensitive and then it will ban more cheaters but more innocents. That's not how it works at all, I'm talking about refiining how it detects cheats, that can always improve no matter what.

Maybe leave it as it is right now because I see no hackers at all, sentinel bans them all quickly :)

I know, I only said that Sentinel bans innocent players because he's already sensitive. If he can detects cheats even faster/better, that would be great. But, Sentinel does it's work already, complaining about it won't make Sentinel ban cheaters faster, only if they work on him. You can complain about it or think about how you could make Sentinel better.

Please read what this topic is about. It indeed works, but it think it doesn't work good enough since there are plenty of hackers around that don't get banned by Sentinel.

And once again your argument is very weak. You buy a car that's supposed to do 150 mph but it doesn't go faster than 50 mph, but it drives though. You will go to the dealership and complain right?

That's the idea behind improving Sentinel, yes. The idea isn't that updating Sentinel means more cheaters AND innocents get banned, but rather just the former. Sure, Sentinel does a pretty decent job right now, but it's far from perfect. Working on it to get closer and closer to getting it perfect is what we want to do. If you don't work on it at all, devs will end up updating clients to bypass it completely and then Sentinel won't be nearly as effective as it is at the moment.

(Though you are right in saying that complaining gets nowhere. It's just that it has nothing to do with the topic at hand)

We still have to play against each other. I was in-game a few minutes ago, said something to him but he didn't reply (signs of fear).



Finally we can give this topic a serious twist again because of this reaction. I totally agree that the player count has dropped largely. The annoying thing is that there are almost no maps available other than Football and Vacation (at least on eggwars). Even though I have map selection, I'm unable to play the maps that I like to play (Pizza, Under the Sea, Instruments) unless I wait for about 30 minutes (yes, this is serious) and that makes my rank a lot less valuable (for me).

I think you declared it right, for the amount of players on CubeCraft Sentinel is doing a good job, but it just needs to be updated since it misses a lot of hackers. I have to say, from all the bans I've seen by Sentinel, every single ban has been justly. I just find it notable that I see a hacker in almost every game I play nowadays, while a few months ago you barely saw any hacker (and as I said before, if there was a hacker, he/she was banned almost immediately (by Sentinel)).

Alongside the maps you've mentioned, Whale seems to be appearing FAR too much. @HackersDontWin @DidntKnowThat and I have been playing quite a bit lately and that seems to be the only map we've played. It may seem as if the hacker count has dropped due to an overall player count drop but ratio wise, I'd still say that they are the same as it used to be when Cube was a bigger server - perhaps a decent enough drop though in hacker count - but still hackers seen. It has missed hackers many times and as my friend @iConfueZ has said recently, he saw a really blatant hacker a few months ago who till this day has not been banned which I just cannot understand. Sentinel tends to pick up on less blatant hackers occasionally and some times, the super blatant ones are the ones that never get caught. Definitely a lot of room for improvement. This thread has really grown from a joke to a constructive thread and I urge CubeCraft staff to actually use constructive criticism unlike how it was used in the past.

It started as a serious thread with a little sense of humor that was taken too serious by some people (I'm not going appoint any names). Yes, but that could also mean that clients have become better and against anti-cheats.

The fact is that this is a serious thread from the beginning since it's about a serious problem which is really annoying and becomes more annoying with the day.

And we gave serious answers. You just didn't want to listen to them because you're to close minded and think that the developers have no life.
