Hi MrTommy,
We have discussed your suggestion internally and decided to mark it as denied for now. During an outage, we have noticed that quite often people do not do their own research before throwing their question in staff-help. They log into discord and immediately start asking questions straight away, without reading the pinned messages or the messages above theirs. For this reason we do not see the value into adding a channel that shows a status, as that will likely also be ignored.
In your suggestion you addressed staff-help getting locked quite often during outages, this is something we try to refrain from by enabling slow mode. I feel like enabling slow mode is currently a system that works rather well, as people are more cautious with their replies and tend to spam less.
For now we deny your suggestion, but do not let that discourage you from creating suggestions!
