Hi there! Not one of my usual big threads, but definitely an important one.

I'm here to talk about the recent rule change of rule 3.14, which makes 'bumping' threads against the rules. I know why this decision is made, and I understand it completely, but it also brings a big, big problem with it.

Bumping threads was a great way to get those last agrees on your thread to reach the 25 agrees. Without bumping, only an exception will get that 25 agree-mark, which is quite high with the total amount of members online at the same time. Even the suggestions that reach 25 agrees without bumping it are heavily advertised in CubeCraft discord itself or in external communities.

I'd like to suggest something that makes it a bit easier to get threads forwarded. Options I think of:

1️⃣ - add the like reactions up to the agree reactions to get to 25. This way people who 'liked' the thread also agree with it, making it a bit easier to get 25 agrees. On the other side, this doesn't resolve the problem of the too little members that react to the post.
2️⃣ - lower the requirements to 20 agrees or even 15. Needing less people to get the communities voice heard could be necessary as there are so little members to respond to the thread. On the other side, staff will get busier as more suggestions are forwarded.
3️⃣ - make the 'recent thread list' on the right side of the screen (laptop) longer. Less necessity to bump, since more threads are shown. On the other side, not everyone will check the top 10 threads, where they will check the top 5 threads.
EDIT: 4️⃣ - Revert the rule change. It wasn't necessary to change it, so why did we change it?
5️⃣ - Some other solution I cannot come up with. Please let me know in the comments if you know a brilliant solution!

It is necessary to respond with :agree: or :disagree: to keep CubeCraft's community heard. Let me know what you think, I'd love to hear it! Kind regards

Nice suggestion, I agree:agree:

The only thing I'm not sure about is the 2nd point of your suggestion:
" lower the requirements to 20 agrees or even 15. Needing fewer people to get the communities voice heard could be necessary as there are so few members to respond to the thread. On the other side, staff will get busier as more suggestions are forwarded."

-As you said, staff will get busier as more suggestions are forwarded. 25 agrees needed for a suggestion to be forwarded is fine, but 15 agrees is too few. Also, 20 agrees is a little bit few, so I think changing it to 22-24 or even not changing it and sticking with 25 agrees is acceptable. I noticed that in most of the suggestions there is 1 user that reacts with "like" instead of "agree' at least, and if this suggestion gets implemented, the 1 "like" will be like an "agree".

I actually think 20 is a nice number. 24 isn't gonna make a difference compared to 25 and also anything that's not a multiple of 5 is an ugly number (but that might just be my weirdness 😅)

Just allow bumping again, what’s wrong with that
I kinda do see their point: essentially every non-nonsense suggestion thread made it to forwarded by just bumping the thread until it got 25 agrees. On the other hand, however, I do think that reaching 25 agrees without bumping becomes nearly impossible unless there is an ongoing discussion underneath the thread (which would act as 'meaningful bumping'), which is why I think that @Blom has some nice suggestions here to make it a little more feasible.

Great thread, I was planning on making a suggestion on this rule aswell when I saw the new rule. A lot of suggestions are just not seen because it’s not on the recent threads page so bumping is sometimes just needed. This change really wasn’t necessary and I really think the community really didn’t want this.
My solution would be to just change it back to the way it was and remove this rule, because te maximum of 2 bumps were just great.

I just don't find logic when I think of why they now don't allow "bumping" a thread, the only thing I can think of is that it is confusing for new/ (people who don't understand the rules sad) because I have seen recently some people complaining of getting perm banned in "Staff-help" (On discord) because they thought that bumping a 5 (sarcastically saying) years old thread is ok, I just think that they should bring the "bumping" as it is, and it is the responsibility from the player to understand the rules, it is not a staff's problem, in my opinion, just let them get banned from their own cost.

I think this rule should be removed entirely, its extremely unfair for people who play less popular, less represented games as their threads require a lot of advertising and at least their 2 bumps.

This is very unfair for less 0opular games and it's a stupid decision

I don't understand why a staff member can complain about bump posts and the rule gets changed without any community suggestions about it or complaints

I only agree with removing the rule so I disagree with this suggestion

If I remember correctly like reactions already count as agree reactions
Instead of disagreeing on this comment you can also just do a fact check and know that this is true
