This is a poem I wrote about everyone being so obsessed about technology and IPhone's and all that stuff
Hope you like it and I hope it inspires you to go do something


The world today
is a world of mass confusion
and the people today
draw to many sudden conclusions

Be there for your friends
and they'll be there for you
But they wont be there
if a group message does it for you​

IPhone's and IPad's
were nothing back then
but where we are now
you probably own about ten

Although they can help you
with traveling dislocation
they put you in
severe social isolation​

Why let internet people
tell you how to work
why let them bring you down
their comments could really hurt

All I am saying
is take a break from technology
and go do something
like study biology​

You can do it
you just need a little hope
and just wait a little while
you don't need to cope

I agree that we have lost alot of the face to face conversations we used to have, and sometimes we need to put our devices down but technology is a great thing. It's helped us communicate in a way that's never been discovered, being able to see someone from across the world with the tap of a finger, spreading awareness through social media, yada yada. In my opinion, I say screw the people who tell us to stop taking selfies, stop posting pictures, stop tweeting.. People in the 90s had Gameboy Colours, Tamagotchis, watched MTV etc. What I'm trying to say is every era has it's trends and fads. This is the 00's, every generation is obviously going to evolve, we shouldn't sacrifice that for adults who are stuck in the past. It's sort of a thing that's like, if you have too much it can be more of a burden than a benefit, but is a great thing if you use it the right way.

I am not saying that everyone should just go and stop using all these amazing devices. There are just people who will do anything just to text someone. Or rush to a computer at any given second at any time. Parks ARE almost empty, and it IS hard to entertain kids and people without using an electronic device. All I'm saying is every so often, don't go to your phone or PC when you have a free hour or two, go explore the woods outside, or build a treehouse!
