So, as you may know, CubeCraft has found the 1.8 server file for Minecraft and has added a separate server where players can play the 1.8 modes of Egg Wars and Sky Wars. I have one question: why?
Why was this done? It's not that I am complaining, but it's just pretty awful. First and foremost, the 1.8 game mode for 1.9-1.10 was pretty convenient. If I was tired of playing on the 1.8 game mode, I would just have to walk a few blocks further to play on the 1.9 edition.
Now, I believe that this was done simply because of technical issues and stuff. If that's the case, then why can't we find a way to fix said issues? Does it involve the attack speed being too fast (this would make sense because hackers can shred the living life out of someone)? If so, just dial down the attack speed.
Again, I am not complaining in the slightest. It's just pretty weird. Also, you guys have stated that Egg Wars and Sky Wars were just "examples to see how 1.8 would work" and that you would try to "implement the game mode to the other games on the server if the test went good".
Just to give my opinion on the whole change.
