When you place 2 mages it doesn't deal anymore damage then if you just had 1
in most cases that is true but if you space them out just by 2 or so places and give it the right context they can
But this is not to directly target that, just to change the game!
well if you can only place a certain amount of towers that kind of does just that
just think about a team of less players
who are somewhat new to the game
they know how to play they just don't have any of the purchasable towers

potions are going to be about their only way to kill the wither that is assuming they can even make it to the wither because
if they put the current towers they can use with the amount they have look at this
Mage: 2/4
Ice: 9
Poison: 4
Artillery: 30
Archery: 25
with this numbers and each tower is far enough away just to do as much damage as possible

they probably wouldn't be able to survive a wave of 5 creepers 3 witches 2 skeletons & 2 pigmen

setting limits to towers would just ruin players enjoyment of the game

For new players, it'll be a struggle unless they've played other TD games like GemCraft where they emphasize quality over quantity.

As for the purchasable towers, what about unlocking them during the match with XP and coins (but high unlock cost and unlockable for that match only) to compensate? It's possible to shut down that composition with just a couple TNT and a quake if they're well-placed.

I just used new players as an example just so I could get my point a cross
that the players for some reason don't have any of the extra kits you can buy
& that was my first thought okay

I would rate that
This would be a good point
Personally I think Exp Would make the most sense
But that would be cool

but remember in my example they have none of the extra kits that including quake

Just a question really quick, do you play Tower Defense?

????
This is just blatantly wrong. Fire damage does not stack in any context.
I know it doesn't
that isn't what I am implying I am implying that fire damage can be prolonged otherwise and in total do more damage then just 1 alone
for example
these are all the blocks here: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7
let's say we have a mage tower level 2 at block 1
at block 5 you have an ice tower level 4
at block 6 you have a mage tower level 4
at block 7 you have an ice tower level 4
even though the damage from the first mage tower doesn't do anything for the second
the range does since it has limited range but they will stay on fire a bit after they are out of the range of the first tower
then the second mage tower will then continue burning the mobs with longer range so it does actually work to do damage
On a regular day? or like once a month?
Yes because I Have a Calendar Than Says March 23 Play Tower Defence

There is no specific time of each
It isn't that hard to understand somebody plays when they want to play

No. The way mages work is that they can apply fire to anything not immune to mages within 15 blocks (at level 4). Doing that is still considered mage stacking -- it's best to space mages, ices, quake and poisons by 27-30 blocks apart (21-24 blocks apart for quake) to maximize the effect while minimizing the cost.

no it isn't the same thing
The first mage isn't even needed but it is just there to prove my point which it does work

P.S. When I Say Block I Don't Literally Mean Blocks You Can't Put 2 Towers Directly Beside Eachother By 1 Block because there are no 1 block skinny towers
