Updating the TS Music Bot

Hiya! :]

I am on Teamspeak Music channel currently, and I've noticed that most of the songs are just on repeat, especially mainstream/pop songs. Don't get me wrong, I like pop music, however if you're playing the same (let's say) top 50 songs in the charts, it gets awfully repetitive.

My Suggestion:
Allow a user-submitted song option - have it not directly accessible from Teamspeak, but having to get approval from an administrator to be added (incase of obscenity or troll songs). Perhaps a thread somewhere in this forum?

I do go onto the TeamSpeak music bot channel quite often and the songs are very repetitive, It eventually gets boring listening to music there. I support this suggestion.

+1! I used to have Apple Music, and that was my only issue! Maybe they could create a separate "DJ" room where users can submit/play their own music, and others could join to discover new music that may not be mainstream!

Slight problem, unless there is a moderator on there a lot, with permissions to skip songs, then people will queue 24 hours troll songs. That's why I said for it to get verified from a staff member. :)

Well it could still work with the approval system. The channel could shuffle approved songs at all times, which prevents spam and repeats. The reason I suggest a separate room is because the mainstream pop songs are popular for a reason, and someone who may enjoy listening to them on repeat could lose interest if other indie or unfamiliar music starts playing with it. This would separate the two and people could choose to jam to popular songs, or dare to try something new!

Which music bot there seems to be like 20 in ts :P I'm pretty sure cubecraft has a plugdj which you can use to play songs yourself :D

I know about plug.dj, however some players just want to hop onto something that is up pretty much 24/7 and listen to music directly - hence why the TS Music bot exists. :]
