We Will Never Stop Demanding EQUAL VOTES FOR UNRANKED PLAYERS

Hello everyone,

Some of you may remember when we posted a manifesto advocating for equal votes for all players on EggWars: https://www.cubecraft.net/threads/equal-votes-for-unranked-players-now.252418/

We are disappointed to see that after a year, the situation remains unchanged. The Ranked Aristocracy crowd EggWars lobbies, and all of them vote for blasphemous game modes such as overpowered half health, hardcore triple health, or some other idiocy.


Section A
With this in mind, we have decided to escalate our opposition.

1. Previously we accepted ranked players into our ranks, so long as they were Normal-voters and/or advocated for equal votes for unranked players. Now, we no longer accept any ranked children into our organization. Every ranked player is an enemy, every unranked player is a friend.
2. We were willing to cooperate with mods before, and clearly many of them were sympathetic to our cause. Unfortunately, we believe it is the greed of the server owners that created the Ranked Aristocracy in the first place. Since mods are stooges of the owners, we can no longer cooperate with them. We will discuss with the server staff only one thing: the complete, unconditional acceptance of all our demands.

Section B
Now, we will go on to explain how we intend to peacefully resist the Ranked Aristocracy and the server ownership. Remember, every unranked player is a friend; if you are an unranked player, you can participate in our movement even if you don't belong to our Discord server. Just remember to do these things:

1. We will NEVER play non-normal EggWars games. Ten seconds before the start of such games, we will type: ''FREEDOM FOR UNRANKED PLAYERS" before leaving.
2. Every Friday at 5 PM PST we will occupy the Cubecraft lobby, shouting "FREEDOM FOR UNRANKED PLAYERS" and explaining to our fellow players our demands.

Section C
We are no longer content with writing forum posts. We will now take our battle onto the server, into the lobbies. We will never falter until all our demands are fulfilled, unconditionally.
Our demands are simple. They are:

1. Voting for gamemodes in EggWars must be opened to all, or discarded altogether.
2. Voting for health in EggWars must be opened to all, or discarded altogether.
3. All players must have the right to chose which maps they want to play, without restriction.
4. ALL staff must be elected directly by the the players, and MUST be subject to automatic recall by petition of the players.

In addition to these original demands, we make one more:

All changes to EggWars must be proposed by players, and voted for by the players. Naturally, the Ranked Aristocracy will not have more than a single vote each. Furthermore, the owners and staff will be completely barred from participating in the discussions and votes that affect EggWars.

We make this specific demand because it has become obvious that neither the idiotic ownership nor the staff team have the capacity to run EggWars fairly or responsibly.

Thank you for your attention. Again, if you desire to cooperate with us, simply follow the guidelines in Section B. If we notice that you are a particularly active or effective activist, we may invite you to the Discord for our organization.

Let this be a rallying cry: unranked players of EggWars, unite!

I have awaited your return for almost a year now and am happy that you are still advocating for terms that suit the common playerbase rather than fill the pockets of what you called the "Ranked Aristocracy." Agreed, you would have to be an idiot to pay $200 to a server which could change, be shut down, or from which they could get banned at any time. Obviously people with these severe limitations in mental faculty should not be allowed to vote, much less be the only ones to vote.

Let’s say it in a simple way: If your long and very detailed “suggestion” gets implemented, quite a lot of people would stop buying ranks, causing Cubecraft to start losing money. Once that happens, Cubecraft would have to either revert the changes and hope for the best, or shut down. In both cases unranked players would still not be able to vote in games. But if a Stone rank veteran doesn’t want to buy a rank, they can always start competing in different tournaments and competitions, hosted by Cubecraft and even some community members to get ranks for free! There are also giveaways from time to time in the Discord server, too!

You are actually right... I never thought of this... I forgot the example of Hypixel: when they stopped allowing ranks to vote for gamemodes, the server completely died, everyone left, no one bought ranks. It was a complete disaster.

Yes, we should never do what Hypixel does, we should never stop allowing ranks to vote for gamemodes. That would be a complete and unmitigated disaster, since we might end up like Hypixel: a tiny, failed server.

Hypixel is big enough to continuously bring more and more new players into their server, which means that even without these permissions they probably manage to sell enough ranks. But what makes you think Cubecraft can successfully replicate that action of theirs? Maybe the outstanding peak of 9k players, which occured while Hypixel was taken down?

Cubecraft can replicate 'that action' because not a single server with over a thousand players allows ranks to vote for gamemodes. Cubecraft represents the exception, not the rule. Cubecraft should change its policy to be in line with virtually all other major Minecraft servers.
