What if we could PERFECTLY replicate 1.8 PvP in 1.14?

A plugin that replicates all 1.8 PvP glitches and puts it in 1.14. I mean , this would be an entirely new gamemode . Obviously would not encourage use of tridents.

This’ll allow both 1.14 and 1.8 to coexist on the same server. Want 1.14 PvP? Sure! Want 1.8? Also sure!

As for the dual wielding, it should be present on the 1.8 PvP version too. I recall it was positively accepted when it was revealed. Only things controversial was the cooldown on hits. Tipped arrows too.

All that you need is a plugin that breaks knockback and some ither glitches present in 1.8.

Disclaimer : i dont support 1.8 , but i think we have to come to a comprimise.

it cant... you can interact with block hitting fast enough. and that is a pretty big part if you timed block hit (block hitting when you see the other person is gona hit you.
also everytime you block hit you view would just go from 100% to 50% cause of the shield

butt oterwise sure why not its only not worth it to putt more than 100 hours into it because it will be pretty hard

Shields would be pointless actually. I’m pretty sure they spent 100 + hours on sentinel to turn it from rubbish to probable the best anticheat out there

Edit: how do you “time” a block hit. Anyway block hiyting is pointless in 1.8 isnt it? Since you cant run and all..

Right. I had a thread with over 250 replies and up to 15 pages. I tagged the devs like 10 times but no response. It was probably top 10 biggest thread that wasnt staff posted.

I think its a good idea. Are you talking about adding the version 1.8, or just making there be no delay?
Either way I think it would be nice to have all players in the same version/ part of cubecraft

I'd rather keep 1.8 in its own quarantine- I mean, dedicated server. If anything, we ought to make more of our games 1.8-compliant and dump all the non-current versions.

But you can still convince them to et 1.14 while keeping 1.8 unaffected.

Just think about the tridents and the shipwrecks and the still eating with whichever hand we choose and the dolphins and the fish and the parrots and the tridents again and the useful shields and the manta rays and the magma blocks and the bone blocks which are really nice and even better than quartz sometimes and the totem of undying and the vindicators and the evokers and the llamas and the vex and the tridents again and the coloured beds and the new sound effects :o

That's a lot of things to think about, sorry to hurt thy head :(
